AshCloud smiled, his white teeth bared. She fell for my trick! he thought with delight. Yes good. You have fooled her. the eerie voice in his head whispered, screaming with delight. He turned around to see CloudHeart running away. A pair of yellow eyes appeared. Brother. The tan and white cat revealed himself. AshCloud's eyes widened. His brother was bloody, and he could sense a dark ring of energy surrounding him. Do the bloody work, AshCloud. His brother yowled in his mind. The voice echoed, until it faded. What was left behind was a pool of blood. Surrounding AshCloud's paws. It swirled and lunged out for him. Suffocating him. Swallowing him up. AshCloud reached out his long white front paws, yowling. "Sand! Sand my brother! Sand, don't leave me to die!" he wailed. The blood overcame him, and AshCloud rolled his eyes to the back of his head, passing out. All was black. He screamed. "Sand! Sand please! I'm sorry!" He felt soft fur brush his. He heard Sand's voice, barely loud enough. "It is what it is my brother." Sand's yellow eyes appeared for a split second, then darkness. "AshCloud!" a female voice meowed softly. AshCloud reached out with his paws desperately, and felt the soft fur again. He clung on, his claws tugging the fur. Thud. Something hard hit his head. He passed out. Groaning, he woke up to a crowd of cats staring down at him. Family, Sand meowed in his head. Don't trust them. AshCloud looked at the corners of his eyesight to see Sand glaring at him with the same cold yellow eyes. Sand disappeared.
