Chapter 1

Alena's Point Of View

''Nope, that sounds absolutely horrible,'' I say when Evie proposes a line for our new song. The song we've been working on for over a week now. It's very hard now our main lyric source has lost her inspiration. I wonder for how long Sophie's going to stay in the park, because she's been away for over thirty minutes now.

You may think, wow Ally, you've become so rude! I'm only like this when shit's getting serious. Yeah, I have learned to stick up for myself a little more, I had to now that I'm spending more and more time with Evie. Now I sent Sophie to the park to write her thoughts down over there, instead of drowning herself in them here and not helping at all. She's just so zoned out.

I'm about to give up when I hear a tingeling sound in my pocket. I get my phone, which made that sound, out and look at the screen. It's Luke, he sent me a whatsapp message. I open it and read it with a smile.

''Hey, just came back from the studio! What are you doing, sunshine?''

''Writing, again. It's just not working out right now. Stress!'' I add one of those emojis with a sad face. I see that Lukes typing and wait for his answer to pop up on my screen.

''It's going to be awesome, I believe in you! I'm going to get some dinner, c u later!'' He sends a kissy face and then goes offline again. I smile at the message and put my phone back.

It's weird, it's eleven in the morning here in Sydney, the sixth of November, while it's six in the evening there in LA, the fifth of November. I miss having long talks with him, since we don't really have the time to FaceTime or Skype with each other. When we were touring together, I could talk to him whenever I wanted. Mia and Calum somehow always seem to find the time to talk. I don't know how they do it, probably by staying up very late for each other.

That sounds so weird, seeing as we're talking about Mia here. It's been her first serious relationship since a very long time and it's very very serious. It's six months ago that Calum and she got together, but you can already see that it's going to last. Because, even though they fight a lot, it's never felt like they were going to break up. I love how things are now.

Luke and I are in a good relationship and so are Calum and Mia. Evie also has a boyfriend, called Max and they're doing pretty great as well. The only one who doesn't have a lot of luck is Sophie. It's strange, because I've always felt like she and Ashton were made for each other, but now it feels like they can't be further away from each other.

It all started with a rumour which turned out to be true and it broke her. I feel like shit, since I see how much it hurt her. I haven't seen her as happy as she was when she was with Ashton. That girl is gone and I don't know for how long it's going to last. I hope she finds someone new...

And when you're speaking of the devil... I hear a slam of the door and suddenly Sophie is standing in my room again. ''Hey,'' she greets us before sitting down on a pillow with her notebook in front of her. ''So, did you get any further?'' She asks. We all shake our heads. ''Neither did I,'' she says before she starts to draw on the empty page in front of her.

''How are you feeling?'' I ask and she looks up with a frown. ''Fine,'' she says. I want to feel offended, but I feel like I don't have the right since I practically sent her away earlier. ''Good,'' I say before I focus on the empty page in front of me again. The words just don't flow out, they never did. I never was the strongest player when it came to lyrics, but now there's nothing since there's nobody taking the lead.

I wish it didn't have to end... The tour, Sashie... Everything. Even though my life is perfect now, apart from the fact my boyfriend and I are miles away from each other. I miss it, touring with the guys. We've had so much fun. I've met so many amazing people. It was like living a dream that abruptly ended when the boys had to start on the American leg of the tour, and that meant leaving the tour for us. A band called Lost In Venice joined them as support act on the American leg.
