at 3:00 pm Ava and I finally got out of history. As we walked back home, we were stopped by Colby who was running after us.
"Hey." He said, panting.
"Hey." Ava said.
"finally the twin speaks, I was wondering if you were mute or didn't want to speak to me" Colby said, winking at both of us.
I rolled my eyes while Ava blushed, "I'm just shy in front of new people." she answered.
I started walking, and Colby and Ava started following, "So what are you girls doing when you get home? Mila and I are thinking of practicing at the park, if you want to come along you can." Colby invited.
"Sure, we just have to put our backpacks at home." Ava said.
I kept walking and ignored Ava and Colby who were talking about food... typical them. Keeping ahead of them, I started thinking, and this is bad. why? Because I have really weird thoughts. this is somewhat how it goes:
Me: I don't to do homework
my brain: okay! let's go try out mom's new sewing machine!
me: but that's too boring....
my brain: no it isn't.
me: yes it is
my brain: okay, then why don't we go fight monster?
me: There's no monsters around, silly
My brain: oh.... right....
Today, this was what my brain was telling me:
My brain: It's time to fight something, you're strong enough, you are stronger than the biggest wrestler! Go Fight something! now! go fight something! go-
"Stop!" I said out loud.
"You okay Avery?" Ava asked.
"Yeah." I said, realizing I was crying, I quickly wiped away my tears, "Just thoughts."
"You sure?" Ava asked.
"Yeah." I said, acting a smile.
I started walking again, for we were almost to the house. I ran inside without much thought, and ran downstairs to me and Ava's bedroom, dropped all my bags next to my bed and flopped on.
I heard voices outside my door, then a knock, "Avery?" Ava said, poking her head through the door.
"yeah?" I asked.
"You okay for reals?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"I know you that well, you aren't okay." Ava said, coming into the room and shutting the door.
"Just thoughts." I replied.
"Much more then that.... do you have them too?" Ava asked.
"What?" I wondered.
"Voices encouraging you to fight."
I nodded.
"I thought I was the only one."
"I thought so too..." I said, not really sure what else to say.
"So, you still want to go with us to the park?" Ava asked after a long silence.
"Sure, I guess." I said.
