Sneasel and I were walking towards the path that would take us down the mountain and to the town below. As we approached the route, I ran into my old friend Oliver who had also recently become a trainer, His partner was a Female Swinub. "Hey youre a trainer to?" he asked me. "Yeah! This is my partner Sneasel." "Snee! Snee!" Sneasel yelled. "Cool! Do you want to have a battle?" "Yeah sure!" I replied. "Sneasel you ready?" "Snee! Sneesell!" This would be my first battle with a pokemon. "All right I will go first" he said. "Swinub use Odor Sleuth!" His swinub ran towards Sneasel and identified Sneasel by smelling her. "Alright Sneasel use screech!" Sneasel screamed at the top of her lungs, facing Swinub. "SNEESEL!!!!!!" (This was supposed to weaken the defense of the opponent.) "Now Sneasel use quick attack!" Sneasel charged at Swinub with incredible speed and tackled Swinub, throwing her some ten feet back. I was suprised at how tough Swinub was, She stood up and looked almost unharmed. "Swinub are you OK?!" Oliver shouted. Swinub gave an assuring look at Oliver. "All right lets win this! Swinub use powder snow!" All of a sudden a ton of snowballs came from behind Swinub and plowed into Sneasel. This attack wouldnt do much against Sneasel because she was Ice Type but it would cause some damage. "Sneasel stay strong and use Faint Attack!" Sneasel disappeared into the snow. "Where did he go?" Oliver asked. Just then Sneasel appeared behind Swinub. "Swinub look out behind you!" Swinub turned around just when Sneasel attacked. "SWIN!" Yelled Swinub as Sneasel pounded her with her claws. Once again Swinub withstood Sneasel's power. "Swinub stay focused and use Mud Bomb!" This was a ground type attack, I had forgotten that Swinub was Ice type and Ground Type. A giant blob of mud was hurled at Sneasel. "Sneesell?" The blob hit sneasel and she fell to the ground. "Sneasel!" She stood up and looked angry. "All right Sneasel, Lets end this. Use Scratch!" Sneasel jumped up in the air and was headed towards Swinub. "Swinub use Endure!" Swinub braced herself from Sneasel's attack. Sneasel pounded her with her claws but amazingly Swinub withstanded the attack. "Now Sneasel use Quick Attack!" Sneasel charged at Swinub for one final attack. She lashed Swinub with her claws, Throwing her in the air again. She hit a tree and fell to the gound. Swinub was unable to battle, I won! "Swinub, Return!" Said Oliver holding out his Pokeball. Swinub was absorbed into the Pokeball. "Good job Sneasel!" Sneasel smiled at me "Sneasel! Sneasel!" She yelled loudly. "That was a good match Sam, Sneasel sure is strong!" Sneasel looked at Oliver and Smiled again. "Ha ha thanks!" I said "So where are you going next?" he asked "I'm headed to Little Hill town at the bottom of the mountain. Sneasel and I are training to battle the Gym leader." "Really? I'm headed there as well. And Swinub and I are going to challenge the Gym as well!" "Cool! Hey do you want to Journey together?" "Yeah sure sounds like fun! I bet Swinub would like it to!" We headed down the path together, Eager to start training.
