We started to make our way down the mountain, Talking a little on the way. Little did I know that there would be multiple stops on the way and many chances to battle trainers and catch wild pokemon. We had walked about one-third of the way down the mountain when we saw the first Pokemon center. Oliver ani I healed our Pokemon and saw that there was a trainer battle going on right outside. After the nurse treated the Pokemon, She informed us of the many stops down the mountain and the opertunities we had to train our Pokemon. We were really excited to get some training in!
We walked outside and over to where the Pokemon battles were being held. There was a battle going on so we called our Pokemon out and sat in the benches over by the arena. On one side there was a Magnemite and its opponent was a Staravia. "Go Staravia, Use Defog!" The Staravia flapped its wings so fast that it blew some of the snow in the air away from the arena, Making it easier for him to see. "Now Magnemite, Use Thundershock!" Magnemite emitted a small bolt of electricity and aimed it at Staravia. The bolt hit Staravia right in the chest and he fell to the ground. "Staravia is unable to battle, Magnemite is the victor!" Said a judge on the side of the arena. "Hey are you guys trainers?" Said two little girls that were standing next to us. "Yes we are!" Oliver replied. "Do you want to have a Tag-Team match?" Asked one of the girls. "Umm... Sure." Oliver and I walked over to one side of the arena, which was now empty, and the two little girls went to the other side. "Alright come on out Swinub!" Oliver held out his Pokeball and Swinub appeared on the field. "You to Sneasel!" I held out my Pokeball as well and Sneasel appeared on the field. "Go Castform!" "Lets go Snorunt!" The two girls sent out a Snorunt (Ice Type) and a Castform (Normally Normal type, But because its snowing it is considered Ice Type)
"Alright, we will go first. Snorunt use Icy Wind!" The Snorunt unleashed a strong breath of air that was freezing cold and blew it at Sneasel and Swinub. The attack didnt do much but it seemed to effect Swinub more than Sneasel. "Go Swinub attack with Mud Slap!" Swinub kicked up some dirt at Snorunt. Snorunt fell over, but this attack didnt do much. "Now Castform attack with Weather Ball!" Castform absorbed the energy from the falling snow then unleashed that stored energy at Sneasel. "Sneasel Dodge it and use Faint Attack!" Right as the giant ball of ice came close to Sneasel, She disappeared into thin air and reappeared behind Castform. "Castform!" Yelled its trainer. Sneasel raked castform with her claws. This sent castform spiraling towards the ground. "Castform is unable to battle!" yelled the Judge. "Snorunt attack with Water Pulse!" Snorunt sent an orb of water directly at Swinub. "Watch out Swinub!" The attack barely missed Swinub. Thanks to the Mud Slap attack, Snorunt's Accuracy was decreased. "Alright Sneasel finish this with Fury Swipes!" Sneasel jumped at Snorunt and scratched him with her sharp claws many times. Snorunt fell on the ground and wouldnt get up. "Snorunt is unable to battle, Sneasel and Swinub are the victors!" Shouted the judge. "Haha nice one!" Oliver yelled at me. "You to!" I shouted back. We thanked the girls and continued on our journey down the mountain. for the next hour or so, I couldnt shake the feeling that someone, or something, was watching me...
