I wore one of the Falcons chest pieces, Not for the protection but to show my side. For all Intense and purposes I Was a Falcon at that point. The Falcon chest plate was nothing more that and piece of wood cut at 8" by 10" with two small 2" by 6" going up and holding the shoulder pads, witch were 5" by 6" and a back plate the same size as the front plate attached to the shoulders by two more small 2" by 6" pieces.
I was walking down the hall to investigate the northern bathrooms, I know that sounds like a metaphor for going to the bathroom, but the bathroom on the northern part of the school was the home of many Falcon disappearances and they sent me, an outsider, to investigate. This was perfect for me, If this was a person that was making them go down, then I could recruit.
The fountain was on as I approached, I always thought it odd they placed a fountain right by a bathroom, but it was home to the freshest tasting water before the world ended. I thought that the water being on was odd, but even more so that the small sound of the water hitting mettle was drawing the attention of a single zombie. I looked as it as it cocked it's head from side to side, and watched the water fall into the drain. A baled man came rushing out of the door into a classroom that was right by the fountain and slam the zombies head into the spout, water mixed with blood squirting out of it's head. The baled man turned to me and pointed a Falcon nailed baseball bat at me. I instantly recognized him.
"Mitch, your alive" I exclaimed as I met his eyes with mine. He looked different, he had lost some weight, we all had, but he now wore a long coat with an apron from a science class under it, he had magazines taped around his wrists and ankles and he wore a surgical mask. He had a bow slung over his shoulder and a leather quiver made from an old leather jacket strapped to his waist. he lowered his bat and looked at me, then ran up and hugged me, "Man, I missed you, is the group alright" he said. I nodded and stepped away from him. "Mitch what the hell happened?" I asked. He tolled me to follow him.
The inside of the bathroom was a mess, but not like it usually was, more of a clean mess. Paper was laid about the room and multiple weapons were set on the counter with various prices too them, the stalls also had a price on them, the urinals it seemed, though, were free to use. One stall had it's door taken down and converted into an office with no toilet but instead, a chair facing a desk. Mitchell sat behind the desk and I took my place in the chair facing him, "so, what's your story" I asked. Mitchell smirked.
"This is the story, I was in the stall when the Zombies hit, but they avoided me, you know what a bathroom smells like, not people. So It was about too days and I knew I would have to leave for food soon, but then something great happened, a man showed up needing to go to the bathroom, this one is one of the last ones in shape, and I'm running it, so He pays me food, and when I have enough food from people who come here, I start trading for other things, weapons, gear, this bow, and soon enough, this turned from a bathroom to a full fledged paradise. Then these assholes show up wearing wooden armor, calling themselves the Falcons, and they want a cut of my wealth, but I say no, so now I've been taking out the ones that come here" he said. Inhaling from his long breath. I nodded and then asked the question.
"We could use you, we've infiltrated the Falcons Mitch, we plan on bringing the school together" I said. He shook his head, "Man, I've got a shop to run" he said, but then he stood, "Fine, but only until we get rid of the Falcons, and you don't get a cut of the food I make" he said. I nodded and we shook hands like the people of old would. grabbing each others forearms.
