'I will never be yours'

Alex POV

My wolf screamed at me to stop kissing Mellissa and go spend time with our mate but I couldn't because she hated me. I don't know why but she did. Melissa helped me forget that I even had a mate in the first place. I watched as my beautiful mate walked out. I had the mind to follow her but I didn't even though my wolf was screaming and clawing at my chest to do so.

Alyson POV

I sat my bag down and didn't bother taking my clothes off because panthers clothes stay on even when we do shift. I shifted in my first form and stretched while clawing up a near by tree. I sniffed and began to run. I didn't stop until reached I place that had a lake and I bent down to drink.

I heard leaves rustle and a low growl. To tell the truth it sounded kinda sexy. I growled back in a low seductive way. A leopard that look familiar stepped out and nuzzled my neck. I nuzzled back and licked his cheek. I shifted in my second form and so did he. I was quite relieved to see he had shorts on but a bit disappointed.

I looked him over and wasn't surprised to see he was better looking than Mr Alpah-to-be. He stood 6"11, had a low cut, beautiful brown eyes, and an eight pack to die for. Without thinking I touched his abs and I swear I heard him growl.

"Do you want me to take you right here?" he whispered in my ear which caused me to shiver.

"Would it be wrong if I did?" I answered and I saw him smirk which made me smile. I know that you're probably think what the hell is wrong with this girl?! But me and Derek made a pact because a feline shifter can mate at anytime of the year but during spring it gets really heated and that's when males start fighting for females.

This was spring so I'm not doing anything wrong at all. He crashed his lips to mine and I moaned. They were so soft. He quickly pulled off my top and undid my bra while I did the same to his shorts and this was all while we were kissing!

My jeans came off quicker than I expected but hey I wasn't complaining! We layed on the grass and did the deed.

Alex POV

 I got up quickly when I felt a pang in my chest and ran out of the door. I shifted while trying to not let the pain stop me from reaching her. I followed her sweet scent to where she was. The scene I saw before me broke my heart in two. My mate was lying under some guy and that should have been me. How could she do this?

My wolf was threatening to take over but I pushed him away and shifted into my human form.

"What the hell are you doing?"

She looked up and rolled her eyes. I growled while he pulled out of her and she moaned. The guy looked at me and smirked while putting on his boxers and some shorts.

"That was fun. Maybe we could do it again sometime babe."

She smiled. "Sure. I'd love to. Especially with the extra heat and stuff."

He grinned. "Maybe this could become a regular thing."

"No! You are mine!" I growled.

His eyes widen in amusement and he chuckled. "Possessive much?"

She put on her clothes and scoffed.

"I don't belong to you," she said and then they both shifted and nuzzled each other which only flared my anger even more.

The guy which looked like a leopard jumped in the trees and she started to walk past me but I shift and blocked her way while growling. She growled back and walked away with me blocking her path everytime until she got fed up and swiped my cheek.

I ran after her when she sped away and when she stumbled and shifted I did too and grabbed her wrist, spinning her around.

"You are mine and you belong to me!" I growled.

She pulled her hand away and laughed.

"I will never be yours Mr Alpha-to-be."

With that she picked up her bag and left leaving me to think.
