When I woke up someone was placing a tray on the nightstand. My sight was a bit blurry so I blinked a few times and stretched while sitting up. Mr. Alpha's father stood in front of me.
"I see you finished the book."
"Ah... yes. I did. Thank you."
He smiled. "Your aunt and uncle will be here soon. Would you like to shower and change?"
"Yes. Thank you, sir."
He motioned towards a pile of neatly folded clothes on the edge of the bed. I stood and picked them up.
"There's some food as well on the nightstand there. Come downstairs when you're ready," he said and then left.
I walked into the adjoining bathroom. After I closed the door and turned on the nozzle I relaxed a bit. I took off my clothes and climbed in the tub. Twenty minutes later I got out and put on the clothes. I ate the food and picked up the tray. While I made my way to the kitchen I heard voices in the living room.
I slowly sat the tray down and walked inside. The voices stopped and everyone turned to me. I saw two people who looked familiar. Where have I seen them before? I asked myself. Perhaps I passed them on the street? No, that can't be. Did they visit my old school and were someone's parents? Hmm... not that either. A picture...
My eyes widen as everything clicked. I remember seeing a photo with them hugging each other. My mom saw me looking at it and became angry. She hit me and told me never to look at it again. After that she locked it in a box. Later that night my parents told me about something that they did. Something horrible. I tried to rack my brain for even the smallest detail but I couldn't remember...
"Hi Alyson."
I looked up and saw the man stand along with the woman. Suddenly the woman began crying and pulled me into a hug.
"I thought I'd never see you again!" she sobbed.
"Ummm.... okay...." I replied.
She pulled away and after a few more moments she had herself together.
"I'm so happy to finally say this."
"What's that?" I asked.
"We," she said, while gesturing to herself and the man, "are your real parents."
I stared at them for a while before pushing past her and running out of the house.

So I suppose this isn't on hold anymore. It's been almost 2 years since I updated this story but... yeah. You guys kept say you want more so here you are. Hope you're happy because I don't know when I'll be able or wanting to update again. So anyway guess this is it. Peace.
