Haaniya's POV

I had to search for a dress for the day and felt like all my options were old. I pulled out a long red maxi dress, paired it with a white cardigan, and styled my hair into a bun. I tied on a hijab with black, white, and red checks that matched perfectly and chose black shoes. I grabbed my bag from the hanger and rushed to catch the bus. The clock struck 7:50, and the bus would arrive at 8. I ran, but thankfully, I made it on time.

"Hey, honey," called Shaima. She often shortened my name, "What's wrong? You seem dull."

"No, nothing, darling. I'm fine," I replied. We sat in the cafeteria.

"What about two donuts?" Shaima suggested as she stood up to place the order.

"Hmm, yes, and a chocolate shake," I agreed. I was still upset about what happened yesterday. Although it happened often, the thought of it made me feel guilty, and I couldn't shake it off.

"hey lost in dreams ah?"..sat Shaima " nono darl","hey dude forget of that wicked witch "Shaima said with a weired funny face which mad me laugh .. i finishhed eating and I wanted more "Hey shall we have a chicken biriyani?" I suggested Shaima gave a surprising look "what?is that you Honey ?you want to eat biriyani? oh my god wooow sure sure" she stood in a hurry and turned "but who is the sponser?" "me "i replied "nono its me " she turned"hey idiot am the sponser please" I wished to be the one as she did everything for me "ohh shut up you idiot" she shouted from the cashier. no

We ate until we felt like our stomachs were about to burst. I gathered the plates and dishes, stacking them one on top of the other, and walked to the sink. We don't wash them; we just place them there after use.

'Hey, honey,' called Shaima as I turned to her.

TALAAAAAAAAAAANG
All the dishes were scattered everywhere, and there stood the blind guy, looking shocked with his hand on his head.

'Are you blind?' I shouted at him.

'I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry!' he kept repeating.

'Okay, enough! Stop that,' I said. He raised his eyebrows and stretched his lips into a reluctant smile.

'Hummm, sorry,' he mumbled.

'Okay, help me clean this up.' I started picking up the dishes, and Shaima came running, laughing.

'Oh, stop it, you monkey! Come on, help me clean this!' she said.

'Hey, boy, that's okay, you can go on. We'll handle this,' Shaima reassured him.

'Oh,' he began to say something, but I insisted he help, since it was his fault."

"If you don't help me, then I'm not going to clean this up," I said, and he just sat back.

"Why is your friend so rude?" he asked Shaima, glancing at me. I shot him a rude look, and he quickly bent his head, handing me the dishes.

"Here you go," he said, then turned to Shaima. "Lol, your friend-hmm, good, good."

I turned to wash my hands while the cleaner wiped everything down. I noticed Shaima talking to him.

"Hey, Shaima, are you coming or not?" I called.

"Wait, wait, I'm coming!" she replied, running over and waving at him. He was a fair guy with dark brown eyes and silky black hair, looking about 19 years old."

"What a long conversation!" I remarked.

"Oh yeah, we had a small talk about you and the plates, lol," Shaima replied.

"Hmm," I said.

When I returned home, I had to tackle all the kitchen work. I changed into a skirt and blouse and headed to the kitchen.

"Haaniyah, prepare some macaroni casserole," my aunt ordered, as if I were in a restaurant. I noticed Milhan wasn't around.

I boiled some macaroni in a large pot of salted water until it was just shy of tender, about 5 minutes. I drained it, added the sauce, poured the mixture into a casserole dish, topped it with cheese, and baked it until the casserole bubbled and the top was browned. Once everything was set, I arranged the dishes on the table and called out, "Aunt, everything is ready."

As I walked upstairs, I passed the living room when there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I asked as I opened the door.

"Assalamualaikum, Haaniyah," Milhan said as he entered.

"Walaikumsalam, bro! Come in," I welcomed him and continued upstairs.

"Hey, Haaniyah, come here!" he called.

I turned back to him. "Here, this is for you. Rush to your room and check," he finished with a wink.

"Thank you, bro!" I replied.
