"Shut the hell up!" I was on top of Marcus, griping his shirt collar, fist in the air ready to beat the crap out of him.

"Jeez, Chris. For a girl you sure know how to tackle someone! Anyway, I was just kidding. I know how much you don't want people to know," he lowered his voice and continued, "know that your anything but a geek."

"I am a geek. I get straight A's on everything, I wear geeky clothes," I stated, "doesn't mean I still can't kick your ass."

"Yeah, okay. You get straight A's, so what? So do I, it's not like it's that hard. You could never kick this cutie booty," Marcus laughed.

"Yeah, okay," I rolled my eyes and the conversation was over.

I looked at the clock besides us, it was 7:15 and I wanted to get to school. I hated school, it was filled with fake people and fake attitudes. Just like me.

Marcus, by the way, was my best friend. Why? Me and girls don't mix well. He's one of the cool kids, people often get confused when they see us in the hallway together, but you learn to live with it.

"We should get going," I said to totally change the subject. We headed to his jet black motorcycle. It was a sick bike. Riding it was the most awesome thing ever.

We climbed on and headed for school. When a green light turned yellow a few moments before we approached it, Marcus sped up and I let out a yell. I was laughing like a high hyena as my strawberry blonde hair flowed behind me. I loved it when he did that it made my adrenaline run. I liked the rush

No more then five minutes later we were in the school parking lot. 'Did you hear about the new student?' I heard people whisper. I live in a town where if someone new comes along, they usually don't stick, so someone enrolling in the high school was big news.

We continued our walk down towards the junior hallway. I was looking down at my feet as I walked down the hall, when I bumped into something hard and fell to the ground. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention," I said when I realized it was a human being not a pole in the middle of the hallway.

"No, it's okay, I wasn't either," the mystery person said. It was definitely a guy. I was still on the ground, looking at the guy's shoes, when a hand came into view. Was he really willing to help me? With the question still roaming my head, I took the guys hand and he pulled me up with ease.

"Um... It's Lucas. But my friends call me Luc. I'm the new kid."

"Oh, hi. I'm Christiana. But my friends call me Chris. Oh! And this is Marcus." I looked over at Marcus he had his 'this is awkward for me' look on his face. Which I ignored. Sucks to suck.

I finally turned my gaze to Lucas's face. The first thing I noticed were his icy blue colored eyes and how they shined in the light. His olive tone skin made his eyes stick out. His lips we a pale pink. I'm not that into the hole checking guys out and stuff but this guy is H-O-T, hot!

"Um, so where are you from?" I asked trying to keep myself from drooling.

"California," he said like it was nothing special. California compared to this hell hole it was something special. I laughed at that. "What's so funny?" Lucas looked confused and a little amused.

"Oh nothing, I just find it funny how you said you were from California like it was no big deal like it's no big change from this place, which is a dump." He also laughed at my 'dump' comment. He has a deep but comforting laugh. "I should get to class. But before we go separate ways which classes did you get?" I asked him. Then I noticed Marcus left, probably out of boredom or saw a hot girl. He pulled out a piece of paper that was his schedule and handed it to me. I skim read it and noticed that we have two classes together plus lunch. "It looks like we have two classes together. Math and social studies and lunch." I handed him his schedule back.
