Deviant and Superman were written this year, To a Friend and The Ravyn in the ever-evil Flex period last year. What a terrible idea...anyway, there's a bunch of good poems at www.littlepoem.webs.com it's a really good site. Anyway, some explinations at the end as usual. Happy reading!

He’s in your heart

He’ll never go away

I’m sorry he had to

Leave this way

It’s not what you wanted

But it’s what I planned

I promise you’ll be okay

Just take my hand

I’ll lead you through still waters

And I’ll revive your soul

You’ll lay down in sweet meadows

Where the breeze is cool

I’ll show you miracles

I’ll show you sadness

I’ll show you places where

You’ll have such happiness

Two months gone

But not him, he stays,

So while you lay on your lawn

He’ll be with you always.

***

They say I'm strange;

An odd little soul

Simple and plain

And so tiredly droll

But someday they'll fall

And beg me for help

The real question, though, is

Would I?

***

You say you don't see me

And don't have a clue

How I know all that I know about you

You say I'm kind, though

And a lovely dream,

But when you wake up,

I will forever be by your side.

***

Butterfly wings, cold on the ground

I stamp my feet

To stamp out the sound.

Why can't the world just disappear

And leave me alone

Alone in despair?

I always have been alone.

When did you leave;

Where did you go?

When fire ate grass

When wind tore at rock

When water smashed the glass

That covered the clock

That counted us down to our doomed days

And left us in this

 After Haze?

Where the horizon fades

Into the wind's domain

Where the waves lap the beach

Longing to be free again?

When did you leave?

Oh, wait, I think I know.

When the afterlight faded

And trees failed to grow

And humanity was jaded

And garbage did flow

Through the waters of earth;

I knew I did know.

Where did you go?

Please just tell me

So that I can find

My place in this world.

Time has escaped

From thought and from race

My friends, they have gone out of time, out of place

And I am left in

Utter Blank Space.

So, "To a Friend" was originally for my bestest buddy Kayly, and The Ravyn was just about people that feel like they're alone. Superman was supposed to be about an imaginary friend, but I fancied the idea of Superman feeling like his true self was hidden from everyone, especially the girl he loved. Deviant is just a confidence booster. I'm feeling very good today, so tomorrow will probably have four or five poems because I'm just a nice person. I slept for three hours after school!~ So, vote and comment? Please? With sugar and whipped cream and sprinkles and strawberries and blueberries and peanut butter?
