"How did this happen?" Piper asked no one in particular.
"It was an accident," cried a camper from the Apollo cabin.
"Well now you may have started a war,"Percy said.
Some campers from the Apollo and Ares cabins were playing around in the woods and spotted some animals. The campers made a game of who could shoot the most animals. They killed over nine of them while a tenth one got away. As they celebrated, the animals morphed into something. When the campers got closer, they saw the animals had turned into humans dressed in what looked like black pajamas. The dead people at their feet also had a strange boomerang and a staff at there sides. All the campers got back to camp and explained to all the camp counselors and Chrion what happened. After hearing the explanation, Percy and Annabeth had tell everyone what they knew about magicians.
"Why were you guys in the woods anyway?" Clarisse asked. Clarisse was the Ares head counselor.
"We were just playing around," answered a daughter of Ares.
"We can wait until the morning before worrying. For all we know the magicians don't even know what has happened yet," Chrion assured everyone.
Everyone went to their cabins to go to sleep, believing what Chrion had told them.
If only they knew what would await them come morning.
