( reader's perspective:)
You wake up off of the couch, expecting Eridan to be next to you, but he wasnt. You sit up and look around. It was still dark out, but you could tell that the sun would be up soon. You go upstairs to look for Eridan and check on Feferi. On your way into the guest room, you find Eridan leaning on the bed Feferi was in, slouched over onto the edge and sitting in a chair scooted up next to the bed. His shoulders rose and fell in rhythm to his breathing and his head was buried in his arms. You bring over a spare blanket and place it over him, kissing his forehead. You then go to make breakfast.
(Eridans perspective)
You wake up again, this time at fee's bedside. When had you fallen asleep? You wrap the blanket around yourself and walk downstairs, following the smell of food. You turn towards the kitchen to lock eyes with (y/n). She gives you a tired looking smile and tells you good morning. You say the same back to her as you take a seat at the table. She places a plate in front of you and across from you, then sits down.
"...did you sleep wwell?" You ask, trying to start up a conversation. She nods sleepily and then yawns. You lower your eyes down to your food while you continue to eat.
After a few minutes of silence, she speaks up.
"What are you thinking about? You seem sort of... I dunno... distant and quiet."
You look up at her, a little surprised that she could read you so well. And you didn't notice that you had drifted off into your thoughts again. You kept thinking about what decision you would make, whether you would stay or go.
"It's nothin, reely...just..." you look down at your plate again.
"....just what? You can tell me...."
She looks at you with a sincere smile on her face and you start to feel awful for hiding it from her, but you worry that telling her would be worse.
"I'vve just been thinkin.... about....wwhether I should be here or not..."
You look up at her to see her expression. She looked at you with confused and worried eyes.
"....what do you mean, Eridan?"
You look at her, not saying anything, and her confused smile fades from her face slowly.
"It's that girl, isn't it?"
You look down at your plate once more. You bit on your lip for saying something about it.
"Eridan, answer me. Are....are you going to go back? Back to where ever it is you two came from?"
You stand up to leave, taking your plate into the kitchen to put in the sink, and she follows you, blocking the way.
"ANSWER ME."
She furrowed her eyebrows together, trying her hardest to keep her composure.
".......yes..."
"What?" She asked, her expression going from angry to upset.
"I said YES! Wwhat did you expect me to do? I dont fit in here and i shouldnt have ever left and came here in the first place!"
You push her to the side, setting your plate down on the counter then going upstairs and walking past fef's room to stand on the balcony just off of the guest room. You pace back and forth, trying to let off steam when suddenly you hear the bed creak. You turn and walk back into the guest room to see Feferi turning and waking up. She slowly opened her eyes to meet yours.
"E-.....Eridan?" She said weakly. You feel the tears slowly form in your eyes and she leaned in and wrapped her arms around your neck as you did the same. You both started to cry and we're so overwhelmed to see that each other were okay.

You stand frozen in place where Eridan had moved you. You clench your fists and release them. Tears start to over flow in your eyes, but you try to fight them back. You were angry, unset, and heartbroken, but what made it all worse is that Eridan was right... what were you thinking that you and him would work out? He's a troll... you try to argue against that fact that echoes around your head and as the first tear falls, you run.
You run out of the front door, around the side of the house, and you jump into the pool, curling up once you hit the water and
