(Eridans p.o.v.)
You and fef sit up for a few minutes, talking and catching up on current events in our lives. She asked where we were and I told her about (y/n) and how she saved the both of us.
"A human saved us?"
"Yeah." You go silent.
"...Eridan? W)(ats the matter? You seem upset about something..."
You laugh it off. "It's nothin, reely I'm fine noww. Anywways, back to you and the others. I havvent talked to you guys since-" you stop yourself, not wanting to bring up the memory. Fef also goes quiet but then quickly changes the subject. "E-everyone is doing great! Sollux, Aradia, Karkrab; everyone's pretty happy... and..."
Suddenly, a door slams shut and footsteps can be heard coming up the stairs. Feferi goes quiet and she tenses up. I quickly reassure her that it's just (y/n) and she eases up a little.
After a while longer of talking, I let Fef get some more rest and leave the room closing the door behind me. When I turn around, I bump into (y/n)
"O-oh, sorry-" you try to say, but she cuts you off.
"Can we talk?" She asked in a quieted and stern voice. You notice her hair and face are sopping wet and she smells like chlorine water. Was she swimming or something? You shrug the thought off and listen to what she has to say.
"I'm sorry about being pushy. And you were right earlier." She says, staring into your eyes with her puffy and cold ones. Her words make your chest tighten and you are taken a back.
"Wwhat are you talking about?" You ask her.
"About you not fitting in here. You should go back with Feferi."
You feel a pain in your chest. Did she really mean that?
She interrupts your train of thought.
"It was kind of silly to think that...that we could work out, don't you think? And it was selfish of me to want you to stay here."
Your chest tightens. She thought it was silly? She wanted you to stay? You feel like a complete ass...
You reach out to (y/n) and then stop. She holds out a hand to you, implying that you shake it.
"No hard feelings?" She asks. You take her hand and shake it.
"No hard feelins...."
(Readers p.o.v)
You release Eridans hand and turn to go back into the room. You don't dare look back and him and close the door, pushing your weight on it. Once you hear him leave, you lock the door and slide down onto the floor, holding your head in your hands. He didn't even put up a fight, you think to yourself. You pick yourself up off of the ground and flop down onto your bed, covering yourself up in blankets and burying your face in your pillows.
(Eridans p.o.v)
Around lunch you go to check up on fef again, waking her up to eat something.
"So...Fef...."
She looks at you with a questioning face full of food. You laugh a little to yourself.
"...Do you think that....maybe I could go back? Wwith you? I mean......." you hesitate and then take a deep breath.
"I just... I reely muss you- and the others too, sure, but...I just miss being your friend. Not your moirail, I know you can't ever accept me as a moirail ever again, but...."
Fef cuts you off with a hug. You awkwardly hug her back.
"Of course you can come back, Eridan. Sure, it may be a little wishy-washy for a while when you get back, but... I've missed you too. And I'm sure the others did too, secretly."
You smile to yourself and give fef a squeeze.
"I actually was going to ask you to come back when you came here. There was something I wanted to tell you, but... then all this happened."
You pull back from the hug and cock your head to the side.
"Reely? Wwhat is it you wwanted to tell me about?"
She smiles bashfully, her cheeks turning fuschia. Her smile falls a bit and she looks down at the floor, avoiding eye contact with you.
"Whale..... uh....im....I'm pregnant.."
