Watt-Up, Readetts! I have done it again, I am writing, YET ANOTHER fanfiction. Not just any fanfiction but A GERARD WAY AND READER FANFICTION! (YAAYYY) Okay, sorry.

I hope you enjoy the book! By the way-

I wrote this book because, growing up with his music at a very young age, he (and the rest of the band, of course) really has helped me get thru many obstacles, especially now in middle school and then small problems around my private out--of--school life. I thank My Chemical Romance for inspiring me to also try to save lives and follow what I love most. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes.

So enough of the sob story, LET'S GET TO WHAT YOU REALLY ARE HERE TO READ!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SASS QUEEN!!

--------------------------

Oh, how awesome.

It's time for College. I just moved from my homestate to New York. Meaning that I knew nobody. I was here to study music and art. I loved those two things as much as I fantansized about coffee and chocolate, but being the introvert and a little too afraid for the future, I loved almost any kind of subject. You can talk to me about anything almost, but the tough part is getting me to talk at all.

As I walk inside the huge college, observing it, I noticed that I had to pick up the key to my dormitory, and had to meet my roommate. I sighed and then did the following. I was so hoping that this person was not bad or at least somebody who will destroy the person I am right now. I'm pretty sure that I want to stay the person that I am right now.

I nervously knock on the door and then feel somebody poking me on the shoulder. I quickly looked behind me, only to see a guy behind me. I blushed as I looked up at him. As he leaned down towards my face with jet black hair, a small smile plastered on his face. Oh, the smile. His hair fell to his face and the dull shine of his black leather jacket, the red t-shirt and black skinny jeans. His shoes... Did I ever mention the smile?

I felt heat rise up to my cheeks when I realized that I stared at him for too long. I jumped back and leaned away from his face.

"Uh... umm." I stuttered.

Too afraid to speak, my first action was to show him my keys.
"S-Sorry." I spoke, barely to a whisper. I stepped aside and let him stare and the door. Great, what am I doing?

"It's okay, honestly, why did you apologize?" He chuckled. "I'm here because a friend of mines is staying here, I haven't seen her for a while."

I nodded and then proceeded to open the door myself. I was going to knock instead of heading inside like crazy. In the corner of my eye, I saw him eye me down. I immediately felt uncomfortable and looked away as I let him in.

Why did he look at me like that? I've never seen him at all. I regained myself in my thoughts and then opened the door to walk inside my dorm. It was dark, but the sunshine peered thru the window from outside, lighting the room up.

"Looks like she isn't here yet." He spoke, looking around. "You got quite a large ro- No way, you like to read comic books?"

I raised an eyebrow and noticed that the top of the box was open, enough to peer inside and notice my collection of comic books. I lightly blushed and nodded, rubbing the back of my head.

I was mainly picked on for liking geeky things. And being a nerd at the same time, I tried to fit in, but neither would allow me a chance. It saddened me, but at least I don't have to deal with drama, right? I picked out the top comic book. It was the very first I ever read, when I was 5 and had such a crazy Fandom for Marvel. I would endlessly talk about it in dinner, my parents nodding and agreeing to things I said, trying to make me feel involved. They did a good job, but sometimes it would go out of hand. Whenever this happened, I'll just read this book.

"Wow, Captain America?" He smiled, taking the comic out of my hand. "When I graduate, I'm planning to work on my own comics."

My eyes gleamed and then immediately look thru my other box, named the Box of Memories. I took out a large and almost thick book. It was my very own comic book, I've made it when I was around 4th grade, my teacher really supported me when I wrote the plot and then drew it. She'll always look over it and correct any grammar mistakes and spelling.

He carefully took the book out of my hand, smiling as he skimmed thru it.

"Wow, this looks amazing." He smiled brightly while reading a few pages, here and there. "If you don't mind, will you let me borrow it and finish reading the rest?"

My heart stopped. Did he really just ask me that? I was filled with excitement, but was hesitant. I don't want anything to happen to my comic book that I've work hard on for years.

I sighed and took the comic away from his hands, eyeing it.

That was when I finally spoke.

"We just met. We don't even know each other's name... yet." I looked away, but then looked up to his disappointing eyes. "But... you are the first I've met who would like to read my comic, so how about we meet frequently so you could read it? I'm a little overprotective about this book, since I started it in the 4th grade and still am working on it."

His eyes turned into excitement and smiled widely.

"Of course! Anything to read your comic! It's an honor to be the first to read it!" He bowed. "We should meet later in lunch. Maybe go to Starbucks?"

Almost jumping from excitement, I nodded. He kept his smile and stepped forward, sticking his hand out from his pockets.

"Name's Gerard. Gerard Way."

My eyes glistened as he easily and confidently sticks his hand out. I shakily gripped on his hand and then looked into his eyes. Gleaming. Sparkling because he met someone new, that someone being me.

"How can he smile just like that?" I thought in my head. "Am I really that dramatic about my past?"

I shook it and then looked away, blushing and shyly saying my name.

"(Y-Y/N)'s the name." I stuttered, barely saying my name over a whisper. Like always.

"Hmm? I didn't quite catch that." He leaned closer towards my face, slyly smirking as he turned his face sideways. His cheek and ear facing me. I slightly flinched and bit my lip as my cheeks got hotter. I slightly leaned towards his ear and spoke.

"(Y-Y/N)'s my name." I shakily whispered. "(Y/N) (L/N)."

He stood straight and nodded. He let go of my hand and then back into his pockets they went. He walked around the room and then turned to face out the rather large window.

"Seems like my friend's going to be late." He then turned towards me and spoke. "May I help you move in and get to know each other?"

My eyes grew wide. I left my mouth agape, as if I was about to say something. But then, closed my mouth. I nodded and then handed him a box. The box that contained my entertainment.

"You don't talk much, but I'll make sure you do to me." He assured me, smiling.

My mouth twitched, almost to a smile, but I kept my usual shy and innocent face. I still felt his eyes linger over me, probably scanning my face. I looked over at his direction, and finally spoke, a little louder than before.

"Umm. Do you expect me to speak with you staring at me like that?"

He laughed and then proceeded to help me move in.
