Trouble

The car ride continued to be quiet. Gerard glanced over me, I could feel his eyes. He sighed and he put his hand on top of mines.

"(Y/N)... Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude." He reassured me. "It's just... We're in a relationship, you know?" I looked at him and saw that he kept his eyes on the road. He made a turn and then parked in an empty lot. He took his seatbelt off and then turned to look at me. He placed his hand on my cheek and took a deep breath.

I was confused. What is he trying to do? "Listen. We're a couple. You're my girlfriend and I'm your boyfriend." I nodded and then looked down at the ground. He squeezed my hand and that made me look at him closely. Staring into his eyes, I could see a small glint that sparked something inside of me. I wasn't sure what it was. But I felt it. My heart raced. It raced so fast that it made me want to cry. I held back the tears. I don't even know why I feel like crying.

"We have to be true to ourselves. Trust each other. I'm your partner and we should open up to each other." I nodded and then sighed. "Why are you telling me this?" I asked and he looked away from me. Shy to ask me what was in his mind. "I didn't want to bring it up. When I saw your panic attack, I just couldn't let myself ask." Now I knew why I felt that spark.

He saw that my eyes fell and he let out an exasperated sigh. "It's just... I have to know. I don't want to end up hurting you without me knowing. I'm sorry for asking, sugar. I just want us to be true to each other." He leaned close to me and dried the tears that fell from my eyes. He then kissed my cheek and then gave me a long and soft kiss on my lips. I smiled with his warmth and he chuckled.

He stared into my eyes for so long. I'll usually look down due to anxiety. Sometimes I'll push myself back, but with him, I forgot about the rest of the world and it was just me and him. Staring endlessly into each other. He kissed my knuckles and raised his eyebrows in a funny way. "Alright, sunshine. Let's go. They're waiting for us."

I nodded and then he drove out the empty parking lot. My head spun, now I only thought about his brother. I hope Gerard was right about him liking me. In less than 5 minutes, we drove into a neighborhood and from there, we drove up to a house where a man stood. Black jacket and what looked like greasy, blonde-brown-ish hair. He rested himself on the garage doors and then jolted up as he saw us park into the driveway. He stood there and I could see him squint his eyes as he noticed me inside Gerard's car.

I tensed up and quickly reached for Gerard's hand. "Gerard, I know I'm probably being really dramatic, but I can't do it. I'm too nervous." I said, my words jumbling up. He sighed. "It's going to be okay. It's normal for you to feel anxious. Let's just get this feeling over with."

His reassurance gave me positivity. I swallowed the huge lump in my throat as we finally stepped out the car. I walked towards him and once he gave me a trusting look, we walked over to his brother.

"Mikey! Oh my god, it feels like forever since I've seen you!" He threw himself into his brother's arms and they both hugged each other tightly. I look at the cute sight of a happy Gerard and a light smile on his brother's face. I swear, Mikey's feet were lifted off the ground as Gerard hugged him tightly. When they finished their little happy moment, Mikey finally turned to look at me and then questioned Gerard.

"Is she a new friend or..?"

Gerard stood next to me and smiled. "Mikey, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Mikey my brother." I looked up at Mikey and then saw that he held his hand up for me to shake. I slowly reached out for his hand and then shook it akwardly. "This is my girlfriend." Mikey raised an eyebrow and seemed surprised.

"He's not joking, right?" Mikey asked. I shook my head and then he gave me a small smirk. "Nice to meet you. Finally, a girl that Gerard fell head over heels for." I grinned and then turned to see a blushing Gerard. Mikey awkwardly nodded and then, there we stood, quietly. Until, I felt somebody's breath on my neck.
