The Recovery

Erik's P.O.V

(Y/N) had still been in the surgery room....

I paced across the room, waiting for a medic to tell me she'd be alright

She was gonna be alright

I just knew it!

That's when a doctor approached me and nervously bit his lip

"Sir... (Y/N) cannot leave at the moment"

WHAT?!!

"What do you mean she can't leave? IS SHE ALRIGHT?"  Shouting at the doctor, I felt my chest ache

"She did lose a lot of blood.. But as far as we're concerned, she is okay. Not great, but okay." The doctor slightly looked down then glanced around the room awkwardly

Ah

He knew I was the phantom. Well, since this being helped my precious (Y/N), I shall not kill him

And with that, I hurried to the room
(Y/N) had been placed in

Entering quietly, my eyes caught a glimpse of (Y/N) on a bed with bandages covering her stomach

What if this was the last time I'd see her?

Tears.

Tears began to form in my eyes. I knelt down besides (Y/N) and examined her wounds

"(Y/N)...." A whisper escaped my mouth which came with a quiet sober

After what seemed five minutes or so of crying my heart out, I heard shifting coming from (Y/N)

She moved her fingers slightly weakly.

"(Y/N)!!!" I jumped up with my eyes widened

"E-Erik?!" Her sweet delicate voice rang through my ears

"Y-Yes?! I'm right here!" I grabbed her hand and gently massaged it

A soft smile crawled onto her lips which always seemed to bring happiness to me.

Now I knew she would be fine. But I still would not leave her side

"A-Am I-I going to live?!" (Y/N) nearly broke down into tears

Leaning in, I kissed her cheek and showed a light smile

"Of course. And we will both be together"

She giggled softly then closed her eyes for a few seconds and re-opened them

"I should leave you to sleep..." I saddened at the thought of letting her sleep

What if she never woke up?

What if she gets amnesia?

What if-

I need to calm down... (Y/N) is alright... Everything will go back to normal...
