Chapter 5
Chris' P.O.V.
I woke up in my bed next Saturday.
Today was the first trip to Hogsmead, and even though Grandpa signed my permission slip, I decided not to go.
I was planning on working on Lily's Christmas present.
It was going to be really cool. It would be a slide show of all our best memories in the form of fireworks.
We were both staying at Hogwarts this year, so I'd be able to sneak out at night and set up the fireworks before hand.
I rolled off my bed and fell onto the floor with a dull thump.
I army crawled over to my trunk and flicked up the hatch. I grabbed my signature outfit and crawled over to the bathroom.
I used the counter top to haul myself up before stripping off my pj's and jumping into the shower.
The cold water woke me up and I lathered my hair with coconut shampoo.
After I had hoped out, dried off, and put my clothes on, I dried my hair.
There was still some part that were still a pinkish colour and I sighed and charmed them back to white.
I went back into my room, grabbed my bag and slung it over my head, and slide my wand into my boot.
I walked down to the CR and sat criss-cross on the floor in front of the fire, waiting for Lily.
Since no one was down yet, I decided to have a little fun.
I put my hand into the fire.
Now, normally my hand would burn, but because I have control over fire, it can't harm me.
I picked up a flame and rolled it around in my hand, creating a ball.
I closed my eyes and concentrated all my thoughts on making the fire ball burn proof, and everlasting.
I then thought of making it a blue colour.
"Wow." I heard someone say breathlessly
I turned my head around to see Remus standing in the way of the boys dormitories.
I grinned at him before motioning him over.
He walked over to me, eyes still on the ball, and sat down beside me.
"So, what brings you down here on a Saturday morning Remus?" I asked casually, tossing the ball from one hand to the other
"Aren't your hands burning?" he asked, eyes wide and following the ball
I shook my head, my hair falling in my eyes. "Nope." I said popping the p.
"Here," I said "Hold out your hands."
Remus looked at me skeptically and I rolled my eyes.
"Just do it."
He held out his hands and I placed the ball in them.
He was tense at first but soon relaxed when he realized that he wasn't getting burnt.
Remus started to move it from one hand to the other, grinning widely.
"This is so cool!" he said
"And the best part is it never goes out!" I told him, proud of my invention
