Chapter 3
Remus's P.O.V.
Friday.
Insert groan here.
Now, most people would be happy about Friday, and normally I am.
But the full moon's tonight and I am SO not happy about it.
It was currently dinner time, and I had been in a bad mood all day.
I looked down the table to where Chris and Lily were whispering in hushed voices.
We still haven't decided when to talk to her yet.
We knew we had to eventually, but we just had to find the right time to.
After dinner, we would go to the Hospital Wing to take my potion. We'd then go back to the CR, and just before 10 o'clock we'd go out and use the secret passage by the Whomping Willow to get to the Shrieking Shack to wait out the night.
Dumbledor dismissed us and the Marauders followed me to the the Hospital Wing.
Madam Pomfrey handed me my potion and I downed it quickly and shuddered at the foul taste.
We made our way back to the CR and stopped when we climbed through the portrait hole.
Chris and Lily were the only ones in the CR.
Chris was sitting on the couch in front of the fire, and Lily was sitting on a plush love seat.
"I'm nervous about tonight." Chris said, twirling her thumbs.
"It's going to be perfectly fine." Lily rested a hand on Chris' knee.
"Why do I feel like you just jinxed it?"
Lily rolled her eyes. "Just relax Chris."
"Are you sure you still want to come with me?"
Lily rolled her eyes again. "I always come with you. We've been doing this since our first year."
James strutted over to them and slung his arm around Lily.
"And what would 2 lovely ladies like yourselves be talking about on this fine evening."
Chris's P.O.V.
Lils, the Marauders, and I had been sitting around the fire for a couple hours now, just talking.
Sirius kept flirting with me, but I just kept moving away.
It amused Lily and James to no end, much to my annoyance.
"Chris!" Lils suddenly exclaimed
"The clock!"
My head whipped up so fast, I'm surprised it didn't fly off.
10 o'clock
Oh.
My.
Shit.
I jumped up and ran out the portrait hole.
I popped my head back in, just in time to see Lily almost at the door.
"NO." I yelled
"You are staying here. It's too dangerous for you tonight. Do. Not. Follow. Me."
She opened her mouth to retort but I cut her off.
"No. This is not up for discussion. You are spending the night in here. Got it? Good. Now, sit. Down."
My voice turned into a growl at the end and she practically ran back to her seat.
