Chapter 10

Sebastian's POV

Her. I can't stop thinking about her. I haven't even known her for long but she still doesn't leave my mind. Elizabeth has this spark to her that just attracts me in a way that no other girl ever has.

"Sebastian?" David, our vocal coach's, voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?"

"Are you listening?" He asked me accusingly.

"Of course I am." I said and wrapped my hands around my microphone stand.

"Alright." He sighed before continuing his lesson.

I listened to him ramble on and on about how important it is to control our voice on each note. Nothing I haven't been taught before. I've been striving to become something, someone, since I was younger. I guess you could say I've been progressing little by little, but this here is my shot, and as much as I'm trying to focus, the only thing on my mind is her.

Elizabeth's POV

I pull up in Amanda's driveway and sent her a text telling her to come out.

Amanda: if I leave I'm dead

Me: he's not here, he won't know.

Amanda: but he'll be back soon and he's going to expect me to be here.

Me: you'll be back before he is. Doesn't he get out of work at 10?

Amanda: yea but what if he finds out?

Me: it's 6. You'll be here before 10 and he won't find out.

Amanda: alright fine.

A few minutes later she walks out of her house with a doubtful expression on her face. Without a word, she enters the car and plants herself down in the passenger seat.

"How are you?" I ask her and she turns her face to me revealing a visible bruise right below her left eye. I gasped and brought my hand up to it, it was swollen.

"He was drunk.He gambled.He lost. He was angered." She simply explains and shrugs as if it was normal.

"What the hell you can't stay there anymore it's getting out of control."

"I don't have a choice, Liz. He's my stepdad, my legal guardian." She claims, folding her hands. "Look can we just go to wherever it is you're going to? I don't want to talk about it anymore."

"But Aman-" I begin but she cuts me off.

"I said I don't want to talk about it."

I sigh and start the car, driving to the hotel for an early check-in. Halfway through the silent drive, I remember I have to tell her about Sebastian and Johann.

"Oh there's something I need to talk to you...well a few things actually." I start off right when I reach a stoplight.

"Good or bad?"

"Bittersweet."

"Wow okay."

"Ok first, I met this guy.." A smile creeps onto my face at his thought alone.

"OH" she gives me the look she always gives me when a topic like this is involved.

"And he's just so great. I don't know what it is about him but I really like him." When I talk about him I realize that there aren't really words to describe what I feel for him. It's unexplainable actually.

"Aw little Liz is in love," she pokes my arm and I laugh and shake my head.
"It's not love I just met him I can't," no it's not love. I can't be in love with someone I just met.

"Haven't you ever heard of love at first sight?"

"That's fairytale crap," I've never believed in love at first sight it's too good to be true. "It's some sort of attraction that I can't seem to get rid of to say the least."

"Well that's adorable, Liz. But what about Daniel?" As soon as she finishes her sentence my eyes grow wide and I almost crash into a pole before quickly pulling over.

"Oh my god. With everything going on I completely forgot what do I do?" Daniel's been a best friend to me just like Amanda. It was always us 3 hanging out everywhere all the time. A few days before finding out about Joel's audition he told me he had developed feelings for me. I actually had something for him, but I could never really come to a conclusion on how I really felt.

I would've said yes to him, but I told him that I wasn't ready. Which I wasn't.

He's in California at the moment, but he'll be back in a few weeks. I guess we'll see how that goes soon.

"You'll figure it out." Amanda said. I took a breath and continued to drive when the light changed green.

"Yea, I'll figure it out.
