Four-Calum

"Calum Hood?" You ask the woman at the reception desk.
"Room 19"
"Thank you "
The walk to his room , felt like one million miles, searching corridor after corridor, door after door. You know what he did is wrong , you know he's not okay but you can't help but feel like he's the victim in this situation.
You finally find it. Room 19. You look through the window in the door. He's sitting there. In the corner on his own. He seems lost , not himself.
You enter the room , he stays stationary as if no one had even entered.
"Cal ?"
No response
"Calum , baby ?"
He looks at you. A smile comes across his face yet tears dwell up in his eyes.
"What's the matter baby?"
He's burst into tears now.
"He was going to hurt you baby , I had to do it"
"I know Calum"
"Are you safe now baby"
"Yes"
"Are you sure"
"Yes Cal, I am"
"Good"
I know Calum did it , it's just I can't imagine Calum doing that to him. To someone he didn't know , to someone I didn't know. He obviously wasn't himself. He hadn't been for ages , constantly paranoid , always on edge , it just wasn't him.
That one moment will haunt me forever. He was just a man asking for directions and Calum just lost it. He hit him , punched him to the ground and he just kept on punching . Punch after Punch. If I hadn't have got Calum off him , Calum would've killed him. I'm serious. I saw the rage in his eyes. He almost did kill him , that man. The police said Calum almost killed him , gave him a really bad concussion, he's in a coma, so they don't know if he's Been left with permanent brain damage. Despite all this I know Calum didn't mean harm , he was just protecting me. Well In his mind he was.
"What's going to happen to me babe?"
"What do you mean Calum ?"
"They said I'm in here , until I'm mentally stable. But then what ? Will I go to prison ?"
"I..."
"Tell me"
"I don't know Calum "
"You're going to leave me aren't you "
"What do you mean?"
"If I go to prison , you're going to leave me aren't you?"
"No , no I won't Calum , I will be with you every step of the way , I love you"
"What about your family"
"What do you mean ?"
"They wouldn't want you to be with a criminal"
