Adas's POV
(On her way home)
That stupid, lying Ciara! She said she was just going to the bathroom, but she never came back! She should've just told me that she'll leave and I never would've waited for her that long. I swear if I see her tomorrow, i'll. . . i'll–
"GRAAAAAAAH!"
And Carlisle! Why? Why didn't you come back either? Didn't you like me? Was I not good enough for you? Tell me. Tell me! Am I disgusting? Am I horrible? Am I irritating? Or are you just embarrassed to say I'm irresistible? Come on! What!? Tell me!
.
.
.
Oh who am I kidding? Carlisle would never like me. (Sigh)
.
.
.
No! I will not lose hope. Everybody deserves to be happy. I deserve to be happy. And there's only one way for me to be happy, and that is for me and Carlisle to GET MARRIED!"
(Opens the door and slams it)
"MOOOM! I'M HOOOOME!"
"Sweetie, I'm in front of you. You don't have to shout."
"Oh, sorry Mom. I didn't see you there."
"And why are you late? It's almost 6 in the evening."
"I was waiting for Ciara, but she never came back. She left me alone with the cute guy that I like so much. I needed her help back there because i was—"
"Wait! What? With the cute guy you like you said?"
"Oops. Did I say that? I mean, no. It was just a joke. I came home late because our, uh, class took overtime. Yeah. I was going to tell you yesterday but i forgot—"
"Hmmm! Adas? Are you lying?"
" What? No! I mean, *sigh* yes, i'm lying. (then kept quiet)"
"Hmm? Is that all? Don't you have anything else to say to me?"
"I'm sorry."
". . . And?"
"Huh? And what?"
"You said you liked someone? Can you tell me who he is?"
"Wait a minute. Uh, where's Dad?"
"Oh. Your father's already in his deep slumber. And don't worry. He already had his dinner."
"Thank God he's asleep."
"Yup. I agree. Lucky for you, I was the only one to hear. But if your father will know about this, I just don't know what i can do anymore. God knows what he'll go up against just to make sure you will never get in an early relationship."
"So, uh, I should probably go to my room—"
"Where do you think you're going young lady? I'm not yet finished with you. Let's come to the dining table and have a little chitchat with something together, okay? Do you like that?"
"If I say no, can I go to my room?"
"Okay, let me say it again. (Utter gently) Let's come to the dining table and have a little chitchat with something together WHETHER you like it or not.
"(Frowned) Okay."
Tsk! Mom is the best, but the worst in some situation. Just like this.
