"If you want to stop your game, kill yourself. If you want to continue playing, stay alive."

I was on my laptop, watching a video game tournament. Somehow I found this interesting and got dragged in. The players made lots of money, just by creating games and playing other ones. The contestants were all playing a game called "Guild Wars". You have to save the world from a king who wants to use magic cards to take over the land of Mydria. He creates enemies by casting dark spells on the cards and sending them to that person. They gain the power they want and become evil. You have to create a team of warriors and collect powerful cards to use agains the enemies and stop the King.

I saw a poster at a GameStop in Times Square for the tournament. Many people were entering to win $100,000 and a year supply of video games for any console they choose. It all came from the creators of the game. As I was watching the tournament unfold, Mia came in with some of her friends. They were all having a sleepover. Gio (as usual) went out with his friends to go in the city. Vivian and Jerome were just busy as usual. Vivian is at work for a few hours (she owns a department store company) and Jerome owns a Mercedes-Benz dealership that had 5 stars. Kudos to them.

Markiplier was the host of this event, so people might've tuned in just to see him hope. As the red team (the contestants ) go against the blue team (the professionals), it feels like as if it's getting tense.  The red team only has 1500 life points while the red team only has 3000. The game was set in competitive mode due to the teams. As one of the red players make the final strike, the other 3 players following along with their special abilities. The combination was powerful enough to strike out the remaining numbers of the blue team's meter. Red team wins.  As Markiplier cheerfully announces the winners , a team of judges come up, bringing a trophy and a giant check for $100,000 to be split by the 4 players. $25,000 each. I almost jumped out of the chair, wanting to scream, despite me not playing these types of games.

I checked my digital clock, 11:15. I was starting to get tired from all of the excitement I had watching this tournament come into play. So I turned off my laptop and went to sleep.  A short sleeve and some sweat shorts.

The next day...

I turned on the TV to channel 7. It had a special report on the rich professional players who competed in the "Guild Wars" event yesterday at Madison Square Garden. It said that they were both murdered from the moment they went to their houses. Those guys and girls make lots of money just by playing  video games companies make, they even have college degrees to make their own games. As I watch the TV, Gio and Mia come in. Mia was wearing some pink pajamas almost like what a young adult girl would wear. Gio was wearing a black shirt that said, "JUST DO IT", which gave a clear sign of his muscular frame and blue and red sweat shorts. My phone rings, it's Lieutenant Cranston. I answer the phone, "Did you hear what happened on the news?", he asks as if he's in a rush. "Yeah I'm on channel 2 right now", I reply. "Do you wanna come see us in action, look for any clues related to your case?", Cranston interrogated. "Ummm, sure", I say as if indecisive. I told Gio and Mia all about what happened and we got ready. All we had for breakfast was a cinnamon breakfast bun. We brushed our teeth, put on easy clothes and went out.

Before we left, we wrote a note to Vivian and Jerome. As we go down the elevator and to the front, the Chevy  Tahoe owned by the police was ready, waiting for us. Gio got shotgun (as always), and me and Mia got in the second row bucket seats. Cranston floored the gas pedal with his wife, Gina, helping others out at the crime scenes.
