Note: This chapter might be a little bit longer and Part 2 would most likely be posted after this one is. But enjoy!
"Inspire yourself"
"Troy, hurry up! Let's go!", my uncle yelled. "I'm coming!', I responded. I was trying to finish up drawing a character from a book that I like for a project for art class. "Fine, I might as well finish this during our ride.", my mind said. Our teacher, Mrs. Gorgiano, wanted us to do this project to portray our feelings for characters. She and her husband are Italian, so they have a passion for art. We all got in my uncle's car, a black Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. It's the AMG version, so it's pretty sporty. This time Mia called shotgun, putting me with Gio in the back. I grabbed my all-Black Herschel Heritage bag and buckled up. As the car started to move, I glided my blue Bic 0.9 pencil across the paper. Without noticing where we are, I took out my pencil case once I finished drawing my person, I took out some coloring pencils and began to put the finishing touches. I checked my phone, 7:50. 'That's more than enough time" my mind said. Class begins at 8:25. As I finished coloring my picture, I look in awe. "Done", I said. Mia and Gio turn to see what I made. It's the ghoul version of Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul. "What is that for?", Mia said. "Our class has to make a drawing of a character we like from any book. In this case, I chose Kaneki from the manga Tokyo Ghoul", I responded. I packed my things and put my project in my folder. Just as we pulled up the front of our school, we got out and said goodbye.
I entered the Art room. "What a coincidence", my mind said. Art was first period. When you see the art room, it has walls designated for each grade. Whenever we have a project, the art teacher would update the walls. "Troy!", someone called. I turned around, it was Tyler Cardigan. I met him since the 6th grade. Blue eyes, skin of a Hawaiian surfer, it matches. "Can I see your project?", he asked. "Uh, sure", I unwillingly responded. We sat down at our table, a circle one with 4 people each, in the front. We took out out our projects. If you saw mines, it looks like I had a proffesional do it for me. My parents enrolled me in art camp. I chose the manga department because ever since I read Naruto, I was inspired to draw like the book.
The teacher walked in. "Good morning everyone!", Mrs. Gorgiano said. Then the class began
Later
My phone rang. I answered it. Tyler. "Hello?", I say. "Did you hear what happened?", Tyler started. "No. What happened?". "Sui Ishida was murdered", Tyler stated. Before I ended the call, I gave a long silence. I ignored Tyler saying "Troy? You there?" And then hanged up. I proceeded to my room where I sank in bed. I stared straight into the ceiling until another call broke my streak. "Hello?", I said in a somewhat gloomy voice. "Troy, what happening?", Cranston said. "Oh hey", I replied. "My favorite idol and mangaka was murdered". "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that", Cranston replied. "Well we need you to come help us, how's that sound?", Cranston said trying to cheer me up. It was time I got out and do something.
Cranston picked me up. Mia and Gio had to help the 5th graders with the Career Day at our school. We arrived at the crime scene. Sui Ishida was at Grand Central station. It was the first time I actually saw him.
