Niall holds my hand and walks beside me as I roll down the side walk slowly. He smiles down at me and laughs when I blush. I look away and smile to myself. I hear rustling behind us and glance around nervously. Niall squeezes my hand.
“Calm down Princess it was probably just a bird or something” He says.
“Yea. A bird of course. You’re right.” I say shaking my head. Suddenly we are surrounded by a flash of light that scares me making me tumble off my board and slam into Niall. His arms wrap around me as we fall to the ground. Niall is cursing as he tries to pick us up. He grabs my skateboard and takes my hand and begins running. My short legs struggle to keep up with him. “Niall what is going on? Why are we running?” I pant
“Paparazzi. I don’t want them to harass you but they got a picture of us they are probably going to figure out who you are. I’m so sorry Princess. I never wanted this for you.” He says breathlessly still running. I hear people behind us and more flashes illuminate the park. He drags us towards the edge of the park in an attempt to get away from the ravenous camera men tailing us. We come through the trees and he leads me across the street quickly people shouting and honking at us. As we run through the sea of people I stare up at the look of determination on Niall’s face. I see a grin appear on his face as we near a crowd of screaming girls. “OI! Girls!”
They begin screaming and trying to touch him.
“The paparazzi are chasing me and my friend here. Think you could hold em off while we try to get inside past Paul. He doesn’t know I left yet so shh.” He shouts to them. They all scream yes and form a protective bubble around us moving as we make our way through the crowd. We enter the lobby and Niall pulls me down behind a plant. “We have to be careful or Paul will bust a vein if he finds out I left the hotel without security. Come on we will go up the stairs to the next floor so Paul won’t see us near the elevators.” I giggle as we crawl across the floor behind couches towards the stairs while Paul speaks to the manager at the desk. When we make it to the stairs he grabs my hand and we run up the stairs laughing. We come out on the 2nd floor and make a mad dash for the lifts. He pushes the button repeatedly. As the door slides open I shove him into the corridor away from them when I catch a glimpse of Paul. Paul nods politely and I nervously step into the lift. I randomly push a button and wait. When we come to my “floor” I practically sprint from the elevator. I run for the stairs and pull out my phone. I call Niall as I take a seat on the steps.
“Hey Princess! Where are you! You totally saved my ass back there.” He says chuckling. I smile.
“Um I’m setting on the stairs on floor 7. I’ll wait for you here.”
“All right just stay on the phone with me until I get there I’ve seen a couple creeps mulling about the hotel. And I don’t want you to get hurt.” I smile at his concern.
“Of course. So what are your band mates like?” I ask picking at my shoestrings.
“Um er uh basically well you will just have to see for yourself.” He says nervously. I laugh.
“That bad huh?”
“You have no idea Princess.” He says chuckling. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and I turn to see two boys hopping down the stairs two at a time laughing. I giggle and they freeze one of them stumbles and nearly lands on top of me. The other laughs at him his brown curls falling in his face. The other punches him in the arm pouting. Which makes us laugh harder.
“Ello love I’m Harry and that doof is Zayn. We were just heading down to the pool would you like to join us?” He says waggling his eyebrows. I scoff and shake my head.
“No thanks boys I’m waiting on my man friend.” I say cheekily. Niall laughs on the other end of the line.
“Who’s there princess?”
