Chapter 11

2 weeks later

I pull my shirt over my head before grabbing my phone and walking into the living room where Kayle was waiting. She smiled weakly her thinning hair falling in her face.  I smile and loop my arm through hers.

“Come on kiddo let’s get you pumped full of drugs.” I say and she laughs lightly. We start for the door and Lauren steps out of her room.

“Don’t forget we have an ultrasound appointment today baby mommas.” She says yawning. I laugh and nod.

“Yep and then I have a hair appointment!” I say and she grins.

“Yep I’ll see you guys there.” She says and disappears into the bathroom. Kayle drags me out the door and to the elevator. On the way down Kayle says something surprising.

“I want to shave my head.” She says and looks over at me. I stare at her my mouth open in shock. “I’m losing my hair and it looks worse and worse every day. I’m tired of it.”

“It’s whatever you want to do hon. I’ll see if Damian can do it for you this afternoon while my hair is setting.” I say with a smile. She grins and nods.

“Yea thanks.” I pull out my phone and dial Damian’s salon.

“Heeeelllllooo?” Christie’s voice comes through.

“Hey Christie it’s Cheyanna can I talk to Damian real quick?”

“Sure sweetie.”

“Cheyanna boo boo how are you!” Damian’s sweet voice comes through the phone. I laugh.

“I’m good Damian. I have a favor to ask.”

“Anything for you sweetness. What’s up?”

“My best friend Kayle is going through chemo and she’s losing her hair. Do you think you could shave her head for her while my hair is setting today? She’s tired of losing a little bit at a time.”

“Oh honey of course you tell her to just come on in when you do. We will fix her right up.”

“Thank you so much Damian this means a lot. I’ll see you this afternoon bye.”

“Bye bye sweetie!” I hang up and slip my phone into my pocket.

“You’re all set.” I say and she grins.

“thanks!” We step into the lobby and head out for her appointment.

Lauren POV

I hum to myself as I get dressed my baby bump getting in my way. I sigh angrily as I try to put on my shoes.

“Mommy is so ready for you to come out of there kiddo.” I say rubbing my tummy. I smile when they kick. Sure the way they came around sucks but I couldn’t be happier than I am to be a mommy. I get up and search for my phone. Someone pounds on the door and I groan and waddle out into the foyer. I fling open the door and my eyes widen. Louis freaking Tomlinson was standing in my doorway with his girlfriend. “Uh um can I help you”

“We’re looking for Cheyanna. She does live here doesn’t she?” He says with a smile. I nod.

“Uh yeah but she isn’t here. She went with our friend Kayle to her chemo treatment.” I say and rub my tummy as my baby kicks excitedly as they always did when they heard new voices.

“Oh poor dear.” Eleanor says gripping his arm a little tighter.

“I’m Lauren by the way. Just so you know. I obviously know who you are.” I say with a chuckle. They smile lightly. “Um I’m about to leave for my ultrasound appointment but you guys are welcome to make yourselves at home.” I say and step back they step in with their bags. “You guys can stay in Chey’s room. Kayle doesn’t really like people in her room anymore what with her meds and stuff and mine has a baby crib and stuff in it. Chey can stay with me.”
