Chapter 7

Saturday June 15
4:00pm

We finally got Bennett to leave the playground, but it wasn't easy. Julie had to bribe him with the promise he could help her make cookies when we got home.
When we make it home we find that6 dozen beautiful roses had been delivered while we were out. Julie and I get them inside and I find a note that says
" January,
You are the most beautiful, captivating and foul mouthed woman I have ever met. Please have dinner with me tonight. I will pick you up at 7pm. Wear something casual. I can't wait to see you.

I look up from the note to see that Julie staring at me with her eyebrow raised.
So what did the note say???

He wants me to have dinner with him tonight. He said he will be here at 7 to pick me up. I don't think I should go, not after what happened last night. Plus I don't trust myself when I'm around him.

What do you mean you don't trust yourself ??? And yes you should go.

I mean I want to climb him like a tree, and trace every sexy muscle with my tongue. My husband has been dead a long time and I have went out with a few men since but none of them had the effect on my body the way that Jessup does. I love Jack with all my heart but even he didn't make my body ache this way.

Then you should most definitely go out with him tonight. There is obviously something between the two of you and you both feel it. So why are you fighting it?

I don't know really. I guess it's because of Benny, and I worry that I'll get my heart broken again. Since Jack died I have had one serious relationship but he couldn't accept Bennett and wanted me to put him in a home. I don't want to go through that again.

January you can't let one bad experience keep you from finding someone to love and share your life with. Not everyone is like that, besides all you have to do is lay it all out there before things get too serious, and let him know that if he can't accept your son then he can't have you. The man obviously wants to see you, so go jump in the shower and start getting ready. You might just have a good time.
Me and Benny will be fine, I'll have him in here helping me bake then we will watch a movie before bed.

After taking a bubble bath, and shaving everywhere, I start on my hair and makeup. Since Jessup requested I dress casual, getting ready shouldn't be that hard. I straighten my hair so that it's like brown silk going down my back and I keep my makeup light. I decide to wear a black and grey sweater that has a lace trim and a rose design on the front, and my favorite jeans that hug me like a second skin. They fit perfectly and show off my full curves.

As I am slipping on my black flats I hear the door bell ring, instantly my knees go weak and I am throbbing between my legs to the point of pain.
As I make my way to the door Bennett beats me to it. Since he can't talk he just swings the door open and grabs Jessup by the hand and is dragging him into the apartment to show him the cookies he and Julie have made.
Bennett doesn't like to be touched by most people so it shocked me to see him just grab a stranger by the hand and practically drag them into the house. I look over and see that Jessup has the biggest smile on his face as Bennett hands him a chocolate chip cookie. Jessup never looks in my direction, instead all of his focus is on my son. Bennett has never met the man but acts like he has known him his whole life, Jessup holds out his hand for Bennett to shake and tells him thank you for the cookie. I almost tell him that Bennett can't talk but before I can he takes Jessup's hand and attempts to say your welcome. My jaw hit the floor. Bennett is 8 years old and has never once said a word yet 5 minutes after meeting Jessup he tries to talk.
Jessup finally turns to me with a proud look on his perfect face and says you look beautiful, are you ready to go?

Yes I am. I just need to tell Benny bye and grab my purse, then we can go.

I tell Benny and Julie bye and good night.

I don't know what time I'll be back so don't wait up for me. I'll see you in the morning. Bye Julie. I love you Benny bear be good for Julie and I'll see you later.

Walking out of my apartment Jessup grabs my hand and brings it to his mouth and gently kisses the top of my hand. At the touch of his lips my whole body starts to tingle with need and the throb between my legs gets worse. If he keeps kissing and touching me we will make it as far as the back seat of his car.
Oh my god. What is this gorgeous man doing to me. I am ready to rip his clothes off and have my way with him right here on my front porch. This can not be normal. He has me feeling like I am a sex crazed teenager.

He opens the door to the back seat of his Lemo and helps me in, then he goes around and gets in beside me.
He pulls me closer to fill the gap between us and says would you like to go to dinner or would you rather go back to my place instead????
The painful throbbing in my crotch is screaming for him to take me back to his place.
