It's 7:30 p.m. now, getting nervous again. Should I leave now or wait? I think I will get out 3 minutes before the expected time, because I know what I am going to do now. I can save someone, and that someone will be the little girl whose mother is going to collapse. It's the least I can do. I am probably going to ruin lives from here on now, so I may as well save one.

This sucks.

I waited patiently, my stomach growling at the thought of eating something after I get the hell out of here.

I counted down the minutes, my heart beating so fast I could hear the booming pulse in my ears. 7:55. 7:56. 7:57. I need to go, or else I will definitely die. I stood up, shifting in discomfort and realizing how sore I was from being shoved in the closet all day. I climbed quietly over boxes, pushing them back a small amount so I could stand properly. I took a deep breath, placing my hand on the door knob, and opening it ever so gently. As I carefully pushed the door open, I heard people talking now. They were coming from down stairs.

"Yeah, Charlie is in bed now! I'll make the popcorn!" A woman yelled from across the house.

"Sounds good!" A man yelled back. I turned to the left to see various doors, but only one door had little stick up letters on it that spelled out Charlie. I walked down to that door, opening it quietly and taking a look around the moon lit room, seeing boxes, blankets and pillows everywhere. There was a twin sized mattress on the floor, with the little girl, Charlie, sleeping there. I quietly walked over, scared to death she would wake up and start screaming. I knelt down beside her bed, shaking her shoulder until she woke up.

"Mommy?" The little girl asked in a tired voice. She was only around the age of 3 or 4, and that's what made this whole thing even worse. I am seriously going to steal a child?! Wow what is wrong with me...

"It's nurse Lucy, from the pharmacy today." I said quietly. She sat up with wide eyes, staring at me with a look of confusion.

"Why are you here?" She asked me. Before I could answer, I heard a man yelling from downstairs. I panicked, quickly picking the girl up, wrapping one of her blankets around her, and exiting the room as quickly as I could. I ran to the end of the hall, trampling down the staircase, and taking a peak into the living room I saw for a split second earlier. I saw a man, kneeling next to the woman who lay on the floor, blood running rapidly from her mouth. He turned to me so suddenly I thought his head would snap off from the speed.

"What are you...!?!" He couldn't even finish his sentence he was in so much shock.

"I am so sorry!" I yelled, running out the front door. I ran through the dark yard, breaking open the front gate with the sheer force that I ran into it with. I pulled my phone out of my pocket with one hand, holding onto the little girl with the other.

"Where are we go?" She said, so tired she couldn't complete her sentence.

"I'm taking you somewhere safe!" I said, running down the street, screaming echoing from the house I just escaped from. I called back the number the woman called me from earlier. It picked up, but no one spoke.

"It happened!! It happened and I am running now!" I yelled into the phone.

"Come back here with my kid!" I heard the man scream from the house behind me.

"I really need to be picked up!!" I screamed into the phone, hanging it up, and then holding the child closer to me, since I was about ready to drop her.

A black SUV bombed out in the street ahead of me, and it was heading straight for me. Instead of stopping ahead, it drove straight for me. I leaped out of the way, making sure the child was not harmed. The SUV came to a screeching halt.

"Get in you crazy son of a bitch!" A voice from within the SUV yelled to me. I ran up opening the door with much difficulty. I climbed in, holding the little girl in my arms since I didn't have time to buckle her up in another seat. The vehicle held 4 other people, the driver, a front seat passenger and two others sitting in the seats behind me. As the driver started the car again, a bullet hit the window closest to me, causing me to duck down and shield Charlie with my body.

"Drive faster!" I yelled.

"I'm working on it!" The driver responded. Crazy pyscho, better known as lady who ruined my life as of yesterday, turned to face me from the front passenger seat.

"Good, you're so good at your job!" She said to me, sounding awfully.... Mother-ish.

"Ok I did your stupid job, what do I get from this!?"

"Safety of course!" The woman said, as though it should be so obvious. I gawked at her for a moment. She turned back to me with an outheld hand. "Here, take this quickly, and don't worry about the kid. Oh, and it dissolves." she said. It dissolves? I wondered what she meant, until her outstretched hand held a small pill. I took it from her examining it. I shrugged, figuring the worst of today had already happened. I put the pill in my mouth and let it dissolve on my tongue.

"So what does this do?" I questioned, feeling my tongue go numb as I talked.

"It's a sedative." she replied calmly, already turned away from me. I was shocked, but couldn't show it as the pill had started taking effect almost immediately.

I tried lifting up my hand, but it was heavy. My eyelids closed and I was out like a light.
