DARKNESS

I try so hard to hide this pain inside

I never give up, cause it's the only way I get by

All these things that get me down

I hide them away from everyone all around

Many would give up from the burdens of this world

Those who stay don't see the pain that's coming

They never will, but they still see me running

Those who see let the pain change them inside

The more you fight, the more it hurts inside

Few take the chance to start the fight

None, have made it to the end in sight

People say letting it out is the only way

They say it will make you feel better than yesterday

They don't understand the pain we go through

Letting it out makes us hollow and see-through

Not letting it change us, is the only way to fight it

Never knowing when the fight will ever end

While we struggle in the dark

Cause this fight for freedom is in our hearts

Those of us who have tried to share the pain

Had nothing to lose, and nothing to gain

They realized at the very end,

They made a mistake, they won't want to make again

Living life is the only way we all see,

Even though we all see it so differently

We all have something we are running from

Even if it makes us come undone,

The goals we had is the reason why we run

Even if you don't have a single one

Where there is light there is always darkness

Hiding from the sight of the world

But always strikes at your vital signs

Just to make you go blind

Blind and running we don't know where we are

We are fighting in the dark

The light is just within our sight

Just to fly away and leave us in the night,

We all eventually lose our chance

To fly away and escape the fight

But now we are cold and alone,

Asleep in the middle of the night
