Shining Light

In a world so cruel

I tried to not lose my cool

I'm out on this empty road

Wondering where to go

I had kept going cause I didn't want to stop

So I kept going to go straight to the top

But I'm at a fork in the road

And it's not saying which way to go

Ever since I first began

I made new friends out in this land

My eyes have seen new things

And my ideals haven't much changed

Besides to protect the friends I made

From all my terrible mistakes every day

I let my feelings drift away

So I don't hurt you in anyway

You kept me going through the day

Please don't go away

I can't say what's going on in my head

Cause it slowly makes me dead

Too many thoughts of others in pain

And I can't help them anyway

You make me feel different

And I don't know what to say

Cause you surprise me everyday

And it makes me happy cause I see you that day

When you're sad I will do anything to help

When you're happy it makes my world shine

When you're mad I try to calm you from what you felt

But you're as beautiful as the nicest crystal

Brighter than the sun when it shines clear

I don't know how to let you know

That I never want to let you go

You are the world to me

And I want you to be happy

Even if it's not with me

I think I finally learned how to see

Cause I know you're the one for me
