Until The End

Revealing

I walked into the school with my bag slung over my shoulder and my timetable in my hand. I wasn't sure if I was really early or really late because there was no one in sight. Until I saw him. The one I have known for about 12 hours and is deeply in love with him. My heart started pounding and my palms became all sweaty. Was this normal? I have never liked or been in love with anyone before. No one really came to my attention. He did though. I have never felt this way before. It was weird.

I walked towards him. He saw me coming and just turned away. My heart dropped. Was he ignoring me? Was this morning just an act? That wasn't fair. I turned back to the buildings, honestly, quite embarrassed. Maybe I imagined everything that happened. I probably looked like a complete weirdo, walking up to him and he just shrugged me off like i was a stranger. Last night and this morning, he was happy to be with me. He climbed into my bedroom through my window!

I strolled over to a girl sitting on the floor with her back leaning against the wall, looking at me. She probably saw me walking towards Toby. The girl stood up and walked towards me. She had long dark hair, up to the bottom of her spine. She was wearing all black but she glowed with happiness, as well as confusion.

"Hi.. I just saw you walking towards ... That freak...and he, like, totally rejected you."

"Um.. yeah.. I met him last night, and he just ignored me today.. I don't get it. Does he have moodswings? Or just sudden changes of heart every now and then?"

"Honestly, no one talks to him. So I don't know, I'm sorry."

"Can you tell me anything, everything if possible, that you know of him?"

"Okay, on one circumstance?"

"Yes?"

"I need your name if we are gonna be friends," Friends? Huh, when was the last time I had a friend?

"Um.. Scarlett. Scarlett Clarke."

"Hi, Scarlett I'm Alice. Alice Harper." A small, thin smile planted itself on my face.

"Ok, now what do you know?"

"He doesn't talk to anyone. He sits by himself at lunch with a tray of food sitting in front of him and he doesn't eat or even touch it! Him and his sister come to school when it's a day like this," she motioned towards the grey clouds hovering above us. "Apparently, they go out with their family." I gazed off to where he was but he wasn't there. Disappointed, I turned back to Alice.

"Anything else?"

"Nope, that's it. They are pretty boring," I flashed a thin smile at her. The bell rang and Alice linked arms with me before skipping to homeroom which we were both in together. I slipped my arm out from Alice's grip before we walked into the classroom.

"I'll see you tomorrow!" Alice called as she pulled out of her car space. I waved her off before getting in my own car. I closed the door and nearly jumped out of my skin when I turned to the passenger seat. "What the hell, Toby!" I calmed myself down before looking at him again. "Why were you ignoring me today?"

"I don't lie being seen with other people,"

"You offered to drive me to school this morning. You would have been seen with me then," he just shrugged. I turned and look out of the window, shaking my head. "Get out-" but he was already gone. I spun around, my eyes darting everywhere looking for him. He was gone. Shocked and in disbelief, I turned the ignition on and backed out of my parking space. I drove out of the parking lot and onto the road towards the forest.

When I got home, I flopped on the couch a d recounted my day.

1) started at new school

2) had the one guy she was in love with ignore her

3) and, believe it or not, I made a friend who is crazy.

It's nice...to have a friend. I haven't had one for over 3 years.

Sighing to myself, I walked upstairs into my bedroom. It's so weird to be alone like this. Alone in a big house. I swung the door open to my bedroom and walked towards my dressing table. I was about to start wiping the black make up off my face before a creak was made behind me, spinning me around. "What are you doing here?!"

"Making sure you're ok," I gave him a 'what the hell' look. "I told you about my sister. She still watches you."

"Can you tell your creepy sister to piss off?" He shrugged. "Why are you still here? You can see me, I'm ok." I folded my arms.

"Why are you telling me to leave when-" He stopped himself. "Never mind." He opened the window again. 

"Wait. What were you about to say?"

"Uh..umm..oh would you look at the time. I have to go." I stared at him in disgust. He jumped out the window and I quickly followed after. I landed hard on the ground. I forgot about the height our house was. "Are you following me?" He asked, obviously just as disgusted as I was before.

"I'm not following you! You have to explain to me why you aren't telling me what you know! And by the way, unless you haventnotice, you are extremely rude. You ignore me at school and you have your creepy sister spying on me! I didn't ask you to look out for me!"

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying, you're an arrogant, little ba-" I was cut off by something smooth and cold on my lips. Toby was kissing me? His kiss was soft and it calmed me down immediately. I touched his hand, that was on my cheek. It was so smooth so...cold. I pulled backand stared at him. "Why is you're hand so cold?" He opened his mouth but closed it again. "And why on earth did you just kiss me?"

"I wanted you to shut up and i have been fighting off the urge to ever since I first saw you." I blushed and looked down at my feet. Thats just how I felt. "That gives you no excuse for why," I moved closer and touched his hands and his face. "You're so cold." He looked at me with pained eyes.

"Because-"

"Becausee.."

"Because, I'm not alive," What? Not alive. "and I'm immortal." Everything flashed back to me. His quick movements, his beautiful musculined features. His coldness. His everything.

"Y-You're a-"

"Yes, Scarlett. I'm a vampire."

Oooo he reveals his secwet.

I know it's really early in the story but... i had no ideas!!! So i decided I'll just reveal his little secret now. I guess It wont be as long as planned but oh well! I write as i write and the story will floww... haha
