Dear journal
She did it. She finally did it. She has matured into a beautiful soon to be mother. But her and her little baby girl will still be living with me for a while until they can find a house for all of them. I can't wait to meet this little girl. I told her I'd be her babysitter when ever she needed it cause I'll have to pay rent by myself after she moves out. I can already tell she'll be a good mother.I heard music, the doors opened. Me and 5 other girls walked down the aisle. Once we all got to the end, Megan walked through the doors in her wedding dress. Her baby belly showing. I looked over and I could see the groom start to cry as he watched his bride walk down the aisle. As she got closer, you could she that she couldn't stop smiling but she was nervous. He grabbed ahold of her hand and led her up the steps. They said their vows and kissed. Everyone cheered. I'm so proud of her. I started to cry to. I mean I grew up with her, we are birthday twins. She's my best frie....no she's my sister. I couldn't imagine life if I wouldn't have grown up with her. After the weeding we went to the after party. She looked upset.
"Megan what's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing. I'm just...ugh I'm worried." She responded.
"What are you worried about? Its your wedding day. You have a baby girl on the way, you just got married to the father of your child. What are you worried about?"
"What if I'm not a good mom?" She said sadly.
"Megan. You'll be a great mom."
"How do you know?"
"Look at you. When you found out you were pregnant, you immediately straightened out. Look how far you have come. You have matured so much. And I'll always be there for you. No matter what."
"I don't know. I mean I've matured, but...ugh I don't know what I'm saying. Its probably just pre-motherhood nerves. Thank you for always being there for me." She said as she hugged me tight.
"No problem Megan. I mean who else would sit there and deal with your bullshit?" We both laughed then hugged. After the after-party, Noah came over to me and kissed me goodbye. He said he'd text me later. I took Megan home, because Logan went back to his house cause he thought Megan needed some sleep. As soon as me and Megan got home we both put on sweat pants and a baggy T-shirt and sat down and watched a movie.
"So how's it feel to be a married woman?" I asked jokingly.
"Actually, it feels pretty good." She said.
"Well I'm glad that you're finally happy, and not out hooking up with guys." We both laughed.
"Yeah, I mean its weird and I have to get used to having a ring on my finger all the time but...I like it. And I can't wait till this little girl comes along." She smiled and she put her hand on her belly.
"Oh my god!" She yelled.
"What?! Are you okay?" I asked quickly.
"Yeah, she's just kicking really hard right now. Do you wanna feel?"
"Um, sure." I said hesitantly.
I felt her kick. Hard to believe that such a little baby, could kick that hard.
"Have you thought of any names?" I asked.
"I was thinking Emma or Mackenzie." She said happily.
"I like Mackenzie." I suggested.
"Alright. Mackenzie it is." We both smiled and then went to bed.
