The Somebody I Need (Roxas x Reader)

VI - Feelings

Roxas' P.O.V

I sat alone on that clock tower for a while because everyone else had plans. I looked at the picture for almost an eternity it seemed. The photo with (F/n) kissing my cheek. I don't know why I asked for it in the first place, but since everyone else suggests it, it makes me feel like I actually do have a chance with her.

I sighed. "I wonder if (Nickname) would strangle me if she found out I had this." I chuckled. Suddenly the photo slipped out of my hand and started to float behind me. I stood and reached to grab the photo but I missed, I thought the photo was going to fly away when it suddenly stopped.

...in the palms of...

...(F/n).

At first she didn't know what she was holding, but as soon as she saw that it was the picture she blushed and started to grow mad.

"You pervert!!!!" she yelled, slapping me across the face with the photo.

"Ow! What did I do?!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, what did you do? You kept the photo without telling or consulting me about it!" she raged.

"Okay, I'm sorry!" I apologized. There was a silence and I blushed when I asked, "Do you mind giving it back now?" I extended my hand timidly to take the photo. She grinned mischievously and clutched the photo to herself in a playful way.

"Mm... yes I do mind!" she said sticking her tongue at me. "If you excuse me, I'll be confiscating this. I want to keep it." she said walking away and waving the photo around.

"What?! I got it first!" I argued.

"Yeah and I'm the one who did the dare! So ha!" she called out of sight. I pouted. She can be real weird sometimes...

(F/n)'s P.O.V

I can't believe I just got away with that. I folded the picture neatly and put it away in my pocket. I kept rethinking that scene and giggled to myself.

"Man, he's so dumb! He should know by now that I'm not all that good with arguments like that." I said in delight. Then an evil voice in my head whispered, He should know, or Sora? that caught me off guard. It was right. Was I talking about Roxas, or Sora? That, I didn't know myself, and I stopped walking to think about it. "Well, both, since Roxas should at least get the slight feeling that he knows. Sora knows from plain experience." I said to myself with a tiny smile, and kept walking. I didn't really know what was going on with me.

I liked hanging out with Roxas, but at the same time I'm trying to get Sora back. The world's are calling for his help with heartless everywhere.

"I hope you realize how stupid you sound." Hayner said with menace.

"Why? He didn't ask me if it was okay!" I complained. Hayner burst out into a fit of laughter. "What's so funny?" I said with a glare.

"Nothing, I just thought that you sound like you're dating him and feel like he needs to tell you about every single thing he does! The jealous girlfriend!" he explained with more tears of laughter. I blushed in anger.

"Do not! Anyway, how's it going with Olette?" I smirked. He shut right up. "That's what I thought." I closed the conversation. At the moment Hayner and I were the only ones at the usual spot. We didn't know where the others were. "So... who's on ice cream duty?" I asked, changing the subject.

"That would be Olette." Hayner replied.

"Gee Hayner, might as well make your girlfriend do everyth-" Hayner cut me off by stuffing one of the nearby cushions in my face.

"Shut your mouth!" he shouted. I started coughing and laughing at the same time.

"Are you trying to kill me?! That thing has a bunch of dust on it you know?" I said angrily and still coughing.

"Yes." he said simply. I coughed for a little while more until it was all out of my system.

"But seriously, why don't you just ask Olette out already if you've known her for so long? You're a man, aren't you?" I told him in all seriousness.

"Because I've already asked her out before. Last year." he answered with only that.

"AND?!" I said impatiently.

"She didn't wanna go out with me because I acted like a jerk sometimes." he said, his arms folded. "So what reason do I have to try and ask her out now? She'll just reject me again." I went into action.

"PLEASE GO OUT WITH ME! Even if you don't love me now, just go out with me and we'll see where it goes!" I burst. Hayner gave me a 'what?' face. "That's how you do it. BEG HER." I explained.

"Oh thank goodness. If you were actually asking me to go out with you, I would've said no and everything would've gotten awkward." he said with relief.

"Gee, thanks." I didn't realize the swift movement of the curtain to the usual spot until after that scenario. I didn't think much of it.

Roxas' P.O.V

Did she just really ask Hayner out? I couldn't believe my ears.

When I was about to walk into the usual spot, I heard (F/n) beg Hayner to go out with her. I didn't want to just budge in, so I immediately ran the opposite direction. My heart felt crushed, but I didn't know why. Maybe it's because I wasn't ready for my friends to be in an intimate relationship. Especially since I didn't hear anything about (F/n) liking Hayner.

OR MAYBE YOU LOVE HER! a voice in my head screamed at me. I slowed down my running and eventually stopped.

Maybe that's it...
