Roxas' P.O.V
It had already been two days and I still couldn't shake off what Naminé said that day. I shouldn't exist? I'm pretty sure that's not how biology works...
"You... you were never supposed to exist, Roxas."
"What? How could you say such a thing? Even if it were true."
"I'm sorry. I guess some things really are better left unsaid."
That's just about all I remember before I felt Pence shaking me back to reality. Was it just a dream or...? No, this was real. I know it.
(F/n) and I were the first ones at the usual spot the next day. We smiled at each other in greeting and noticed a small paper left on one of the cushions. I picked it up, it was a note.
Yo!
Hayner, Olette and I won't be hanging out today. We just figured to check out the mansion one more time. Hope you don't mind! You guys have the day to yourselves :)
-PenceI scratched my head a bit in confusion because of the sudden note.
"I don't get it... why a note? They could've just texted us..." (F/n) thought out loud.
"Beats me. I was just thinking the same thing..." I trailed off in thought and then it came to mind: I bet Hayner plotted this. He knew we wouldn't come to the usual spot if they just texted us, so he waited for the two of us to come here - alone - and see the note. I scrunched the paper in my hands with rage.
That little evil genius is gonna get his butt kicked to the moon and back when I get my hands on him.
I stuffed the paper in my pocket and turned to (F/n) with a smile to hide my anger.
"Wanna go to the beach?" I asked her.
"Huh? Where did that come from?" she said with eyebrow raised.
I shrugged, "Just came to mind." she sighed and just shrugged.
"Sure. Why not? Not like there's anything else to do today."

So I started getting ready for the beach at my house, picking out my bikini, some clothes, towel... the necessities. I re-checked everything was in place and headed to the station.
The first face I saw was Roxas. He had his swim shorts on with a tank top. I was also wearing clothes on top of my bikini anyway. He smiled the minute he saw me, causing me to smile back.
"Shall we?" he asked. I nodded and walked with him. When the train came, he stepped to the side and said, "Ladies first." all gentleman like.
"That should be you then." I told him, not even thinking about getting in the train. He looked up and glared jokingly. "I'm kidding!" I laughed, and got on the train. The train ride wasn't so long, so we didn't get to say much on the way there. When we got to the beach, however...
...Oh, there was a lot to say. I thought I would be shy at first, too! I mean, it wasn't every day I just took off my clothes in front of a guy. Alone! (of course, it was for a reason anyway). Roxas pulled me into the ocean water and immediately started splashing water on my face. I glared at him and started splashing back while he was grinning the whole time.
"Grinning, I see? Well, you won't be grinning for long!" I said, throwing some seaweed on top of his head. I was right about my statement, but not in the way I expected. Instead of him frowning at all, he actually started laughing. Laughing. I blushed a bit from his charming laugh, immediately looking away. His smile afterward was too cute, I couldn't help it.

Roxas' P.O.V
It was probably the best day I had that I was with her at all. After a while of splashing water at each other, it finally really felt like it was just us two, side by side, watching the sun set from ashore, resting on our hands as we sat on top of our towels. I took a deep breath, smelling the salty ocean scent of the area.
"Did you have fun?" I asked (F/n).
She nodded with a smile, "Lots. I'm glad we went out to the beach... Although, I feel pretty bad about not coming here with the others, they all wanted to go just as much."
"Yeah... you're right," I said with a hint of regret. It was partly their fault for setting all this up, but I still felt bad about going without them.
"Hey, hey hey! The fun's not over yet! Don't get so down in the dumps!" came the familiar voice of Olette. (F/n) and I both spun around to see the whole gang there, with so much more stuff than we had.
"What, you thought we would leave you both to it alone for the rest of the day? Nice dream," Hayner said super casually. I smiled slightly just seeing Hayner. Then I remembered I was mad at him. He opened his mouth to say something else but I was already on top of him in the sand, tackling him down. I playfully hit him here and there until he was clearly out of breath.
"That's what you get for that note," I hissed at him. He just laughed and got up, and that's when everyone else laughed and all immediately went racing for the water except for (F/n).
"You're not going?" I asked, walking back to her.
"Nah, I'm too tired and lazy to," she joked.
"Yeah, we're in the same situation then." I laughed. I watched with such happiness everyone splashing at each other and shouting from all the excitement. (F/n) was laughing along with them, never able to take her eyes off of them while my gaze shifted to her for a while. I looked back at them and slowly moved my hand to touch hers. I was shaking while doing so, since it was my first time doing something like that. Chill out, Roxas. Just... make sure you actually touch her hand before passing out or dying.
Eventually, I finally mustered up the last bit of courage I had to place my hand on top of hers. I closed my eyes, both in relief and more stress in slight fear that she might actually get mad and hit me or something. Instead, she intertwined one of her finger with mine. I opened my eyes and looked at her in surprise, but she wouldn't look anywhere except for straight ahead, not meeting any eye contact whatsoever. For a fact, however, (or it could've just been the heat) she was blushing. Like crazy.

IT'S NOT LIKE I EXPECTED THAT.
I mean, seriously, what kind of a girl would? They don't daydream about their best friend making a move like that... do they?
Do I?
Wait, DO I?!
MY BRAIN IS HAYWIRE! Gah... I don't know what to do at all...! I took a deep breath to try and calm down which surprisingly worked!
I didn't realize Roxas leaning in as he whispered, "If this is awkward, I totally understand and I won't do it again."
"Huh? What? N-no, it's not it just... it took me by surprise," I said in complete embarrassment; he must've noticed me blushing...
"It's cool. Besides, I'm not okay with doing things you're not comfortable with anyway," he said, looking back out to the others. I looked at him for a while in confusion, then eventually smiled and looked out at them as well.
Even though we were around so many more people this time, it felt like there was this massive bubble only Roxas and I were in and no one else could touch it. It just felt like... it was just us two.
