(F/n)'s P.O.V

For some reason our hangout that day was pretty awkward. It wasn't everyone, it was just Roxas. He was acting weird and wouldn't talk to me or Hayner. Much less even look at me. What's his problem? I thought. I was about to ask him what was going on until Pence started talking about the daily routine.

"Let's stay here for now, go shopping for snacks - separately - then meet back at the clock tower, okay?" he explained. Everyone nodded and there went one of my only chances to talk to Roxas. Maybe he's mad at me... but then why won't he at least look at me? He's been staring at the ground for ages like it's a worldwide discovery. As time went by while we played truth or dare (everyone picking truth because of the last catastrophe), Roxas answered less and less, as if he was getting upset about something. I had to ask Roxas something for truth after a while, and he looked uneasy.

"Let's see... have you ever gone a day without sea salt ice cream?" I giggled.

"No." he said with no feeling. "My turn," he said before finally looking up and adding, "(F/n), are you..." he trailed off, as if he wanted to ask a question but afraid to say it aloud. he looked away again, "Never mind." he said quickly.

"You can just whisper it in my ear." I shrugged. He hesitated before leaning into my ear.

"Are you and Hayner dating?" he whispered. I widened my eyes in shock and backed away to look at him.

"No we're not! I swear we're not." I promised. It was weird how we were both making a big deal out of this... but was he even joking at all in the first place? Roxas looked at me like I had just slapped him.

"Liar." he said simply and went running out the entrance.

"Roxas wait!" I called, it was too late, he was way too far now.

Hayner's P.O.V

She immediately stood up as soon as he ran out.

"(Nickname), what's wrong?" I asked in concern for my best friend.

She looked at me in panic. "He found out. But interpreted it wrong." she said simply.

"About what?" I pressured.

"Earlier today!" that's all she had to say for me to understand as she ran out to give chase.

Was he really eavesdropping?

"So... what is this thing Roxas found out about?" Olette folded her arms and glared at me.

"I'll tell you later." I said with a mini blush and looking down to hide it. "Let's keep playing."

Roxas' P.O.V

She's always been keeping secrets up until now. Why did she have to lie.

I'm so convinced that she won't tell me anything in fear that I might hate her or Hayner. Maybe if she'd just tell the truth, I wouldn't be so mad. I kept running, kept racing towards the clock tower.

(F/n)'s P.O.V

I stopped to catch my breath, panting. "Where's he gone to now?" I said with a deep breath. I asked some of the people in town, no one knew where he was.

"Roxas? I saw him run towards the clock tower." I heard a not too deep voice behind me say. I turned around to thank the person, but no one was there... and sounded so familiar...

...Where had I heard it before?

I made my way to the clock tower and spotted him sitting there, alone doing nothing. I went sprinting towards the staircase and up the stairs, desperate to talk to him.

When I finally reached the top, I took a few seconds to catch my breath and started walking around the pillar in the middle.

"Roxas!" I exclaimed.

"I don't want to talk to you." he snapped.

"Too bad, I'm not going anywhere." I replied.

"Then I'll leave." he stood up and started walking towards where I was to push past me when I spread out my arms to not let him pass.

"No. I need to talk to you." I stated.

"You'll fall if you try." he growled.

"Push me off! Whatever! I don't care! I just want to get you out of this grouchy attitude. I'm not going out with Hayner!" I swore.

"Really, (F/n)? You've been keeping secrets ever since you got here. I mean no wonder you trusted Hayner so much, you had a crush on him, so of course you would tell him about your past! Of course you would think I'd get mad or something. It's only natural, right?" I smacked him up the head when he said that.

"Don't you dare. Ever talk like I don't know how to handle myself." I said angrily. I turned into my usual self again, "Me and Hayner are not dating. I was-" I almost bit my tongue. "Ugh. Don't tell anyone but I was giving him dating advice so he could finally ask Olette out! Happy?" I said, folding my arms and turning my back against him.

Roxas P.O.V

I realized how much of a jerk I was being. What was I thinking? I was so paranoid. I hesitated for a while, just standing there, before I turned her back around and hugged her.

"I'm so sorry." I apologized.

"You better be. Just don't go around making assumptions anymore. Besides, even if I did have a crush on Hayner, you would be the first I'd tell." she said.

"Thanks." I said with a small smile on my face.

"No can you let go? You stink." she added. I laughed and let her go.

"Oh wow thanks for that compliment." I said sarcastically. She smiled and it felt like a whole weight was lifted off my shoulders.

"Anyway, let's go back, I'm sure they're waiting for us." she said as we started walking down the steps from the clock tower. On the outside I was relieved that she never lied in the first place.

...but on the inside I was just so glad she wasn't dating Hayner.

(F/n)'s P.O.V

"Uh... what. Is this?" I said, trying to sound as calm as possible. At the foot of the entrance to the usual spot, I could see the scribbles Pence, Olette and Hayner did while we were gone: '(F/N) X ROXAS FOR LIFE' they all said.

"Oh, you guys are back." Hayner said casually.

"DON'T TRY TO ACT ALL COOL! Is this what you guys seriously do in your spare time?!" I burst.

"Yeah. Got a problem?" he said, sticking his tongue out at me.

"Why you..." I took one of the crayons and found an empty space on one of the walls and wrote: 'HAYNER X OLETTE FOR LIFE'. Hayner got so mad he started chasing me all around Twilight Town and back again to the usual spot. He never once got to catch me. When I became really exhausted, I lay down on the floor of the usual spot panting, a huge grin on my face.

"Can't believe you just did that." Hayner said in frustration.

I smiled, "You started it." Roxas' laughter got me so distracted I stooped smiling while his laugh made my heart pound.
