Kat,

I'm so sorry for all those horrible things I said to you. That girl that was with me, Rhianna, gets super jealous and I was afraid that if I said I knew you she'd go after you.

As for the party, well, I hadn't meant to leave but Rhianna came up to me really drunk so I agreed to drive her home. I did go back to the party to find you but you weren't there. I hope you can forgive me.

Love,

Ryan

Of course seeing as how people these days can't seem to take the time to use all the letters in the word it said something like: imma sry 4 all the things i said 2 u. But anyway the apology was accepted. I mean it all made sense, right? Ryan seemed genuine, at least, as genuine as you can be through a note stuck to your locker when you arrive to school.

At lunch another note was stuck to my locker.

Kat,

meet me @ the oak tree. plz.

I rushed out there as quickly as possible. Clutching my notes in my pocket.

"Hey," he greeted, grinning, when I got there. "Did you get my notes?"

To me this answer kinda seemed obvious since if I hadn't gotten one I would have slapped him by now and if I hadn't gotten two I wouldn't be here right now. Instead of pointing this out though I just plastered a stupid grin to my face. "Yea, I did."

"Good. That's good then." It doesn't take long to figure out that he's not one for words.

"Yea."

Then he stepped forward, wrapped his arms around me and crammed his tongue down my throat. My eyes watered for a second but I tried to make the best of it and kiss him back.

"You kiss like a fish," he said around my mouth.

I put my hands on his chest and pushed him away. "Hey, hey now," he said. "Come here. We haven't even gotten to the good part yet."

"Actually I think the bell just rang. I really need to go to my next class. Bye.

"I took off I really needed to go to my next class. It was Bio and kind of hard though after that kind of lunch I really wanted to go home. I wasn't sure that Noel would be there though so it wasn't worth ditching my class.

"Are you really dating, Ryan?" my lab partner asked.

I was becoming more and more unsure about this so I nodded, "I guess."

"You guess?!? The Ryan and you guess you're dating him? Life can be so unfair!"

***

"Well she wasn't exactly overreacting," Tyler informed me. "Have you seen the boy? Gor-geous," he trilled flirtatiously.

"Oh shut-up! You have your own boyfriend."

"And you don't? Or have I been fantasizing about an imaginary boy who strolls up an down your hall topless after getting out of steamy showers?"

"Noel?" I said blushing and making Tyler very suspicious. "No he's just a friend of Aud's."

"Mhm, sure." Tyler raised an eyebrow at me and grinned wickedly at the sound of footsteps passing in the hall. "Oh, gorgeous piece of eye candy," he called out. "Can you come in here to help me prove a point?"

"Uh," asked Noel standing awkwardly in my doorway, "is there a reason your friend is itemizing me?"

"Yes, he's a raging gay with a foolish hypothesis," I told him smiling and hitting Tyler over the head with

my pillow.

"Well, I'm happy to help you guys with whatever you need."

"She doesn't believe there is any, as he french say, passion between you. Could you kiss her for me? When she ends up a melted little puddle on he floor then my point will be proven."

"Tyler! No, I'm just Aud's little sister to him. He doesn't want to kiss me. Right, Noel?"

"Uh, right. Can I leave now?"

"Yes," I said scrambling for the door. "Sorry for his being so awkward." Then when he was gone I wheeled on Tyler. "I'm going to kill you for that! Why would you say something like that?"

"Kat, think! He was taking a shower at your house and walking up and down your hallway half-naked!"

"So? A lot of Aud's friends have showers here."

"But Kat! They take them in your sisters bathroom downstairs why would he need to come up here?"
