day five ~ write a paragraph set in fairground

Sitting at the top of the ferris wheel, I was able to look out below. The smells of freshly popped popcorn and newly spun candyfloss could be smelled from far, filling my nostrils with a sweet aroma. Scanning the crowd, I could see many people, kids running around and having fun on the rides. Everywhere I looked, colourful lights broke the darkness. Loud screams were heard every few seconds from a few rides, some so loud I thought my ears were going to explode. The atmosphere was full of happiness and excitement, and felt almost electric. Rows of stalls made a nice passage through the grounds, pity that it was littered in plastic cups, paper and and candy wrappers. I looked at my best friend, sitting beside me, taking photos. I was glad she convinced me to come here for the first time. It was the best way to celebrate my birthday, and definitely the most memorable ~
