I sat down next to Ollie on the couch and leaned my head on his shoulder, “That boy is going to kill me…”
“Oh shush, when he gets better I’m sure he’ll stop being a little brat.”
“I hope…It’ll be hard for him. He’s lost a lot of things.”
“Like,” Ollie asked wrapping his arms around me.
“Not my place to say,” I smiled up at him giving him a peak on the cheek.
“But I want to know!”
“Ask him if you want to know so badly.”
“No I don’t want to get punched by him.”
“I don’t think he’ll punch you.” Or maybe he would… “Okay I’ll tell you something’s.”
“Yes! Okay I’m listening.”
“…Well the only reason why Cole left was because he found out that Autumn cheated on him. Art isn’t Cole’s-“
“…I’m going out…” Art said leading on the walk way.
“…Where you going?” I asked.
“Out…”
“Art…”
“I don’t want to see my mom…”
“I think you should.”
“Please…” Ollie looked at me.
“Fine but…take Miko.”
“I’ll rather see my mother.” He walked out of the room, I smiled.
“Nice.” The doorbell went off, “ugh I don’t want to move.”
“I don’t either…COME IN!”
“Mason, get up and go let her in.” I groaned and went to let her in.
“Hello, Autumn.”
“Mason!” She hugged me, I kissed her cheek. “Where is he?”
“Probably hiding,” I said letting her in. “All his things fit in that tiny car?”
“He doesn’t have much…”
“Let me go find him.” I went down in the basement, no Art there. Where could he hide…think Mason think. He’s always been a hinder even when he was little. In the ceiling! I went up into Alex’s old room; opening the closet the little hidden door was open. Still knows all the tricks, I went into the little room that was above the living room where Autumn and Ollie are. Art was hugging his legs in the corner.
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t want to see her…”
“But you want to listen what she says?” There was a vent that lend to the living room.
“Waiting for her to call me a disappointment once again,” He smiled, hugging his legs tighter. This boy has a lot of problems.
“She doesn’t think you’re a disappointment.”
“Really? She said it before you came to take me to this hell hole.”
“…Well she wants to see-“
“No.”
“Fine,” I left the room and went back downstairs. “He doesn’t want to see you.”
“What? Why?”
“Why do you think, Autumn?” She looked down. “Let’s just get his stuff and you can leave.”
“Okay…” We got all three boxes out of her car.
“Well…I guess that’s it…tell him I said by and that I love him.”
“Ha! That’s bullshit!” I looked up.
“…Bye, Autumn.”
“Bye…” She left.
“You can come out now!”
“Who just left?” Miko said walking inside.
“Art’s mother,” Ollie said. “How was school?”
“Normal.”
“Finally bitch from the west has left.” Art said walking downstairs.
“Wonderful way to talk about your mother,” Miko said putting his backpack on the couch.
“Just because-” Ollie put his hands over Art’s mouth.
“Take your boxes to your room.” Ollie ordered and Art did what he said.
“Can he like leave and go back to the druggie life?”
“Miko,” Ollie looked at him.
“Sorry, I’m going to go to my homework.” I watched him go upstairs.
“And you.”
“What did I do?”
“Nothing but you need sleep, you look like a zombie.”
“I’ll sleep later.”
“Mason, you take that cute ass and go upstairs to sleep! I’ll help Art unpack if he wants it.”
“Fine,” I snapped and went to sleep.
