Hawk Moth usually reveals his name to his victims when he corrupts them. However, he never gives his name to the Evillustrator or Darkblade. Few of Hawk Moth's victims refer to him by name.
If he didn't give his name to the Evillustrator, maybe that's why he didn't listen to him and prepared a date instead ^^
