chapter 25- a harmless bit of fun

ELSA POV

We get out of the car and look around town. There is so much stuff.

"do you want to make a bear?" Asks Josh while pointing to a build-a-bear workshop. I nod and we go inside. I make an Elsa, an Anna and an Olaf teddy. We leave the store with them in bags. Then we go to McDonald's. I have a chicken nugget happy meal.

"when is your birthday?" whispers Josh.

"on friday. We can pretend I'm turning 9." I say.

"okay. My birthday is the 29th July. I am 12 right now. It's April now so you've got time." Josh says. We eat our lunch and leave.

"ok." I say. We go into a dress store and look at dresses. I chose a purple flowery one, a red heart one and a light blue one covered in snowflakes. We pay and leave the store. We go back to the car. We drive home.

Time skip

We're now home. I put my dresses in the wardrobe and the teddies on the bed. I go on my phone and look at songs. There is one from tangled labeled 'I see the light'. I listen to it. It's such a beautiful song.

"Maddi!" I hear Josh shout but I don't move. I stay on my bed listening to the song. The door bursts open but no one is there.

"Josh, quit playing jokes. You're scaring me." I say. He doesn't come out.

"Maddi!" shouts Josh again.

"Josh, where are you?" I shout back.

"I'm downstairs. I'm coming up to your room okay." says Josh and I hear him running upstairs.

"Josh I'm scared." I say.

"why?" he asks when he comes into the room.

"the door just burst open and no one was there." I say.

"hey don't worry. I promise that I will always protect you." Josh says. I hug him and thank him.

"I think I'm gonna go to sleep." I say and lie down.

"okay." Josh says and tucks me in. He turns of the light and leaves. I go to sleep.

JACK POV

I scared her when I opened the door for the others. She's now fast asleep. Sandy is going to put us into her dreams. He sprinkles the sand on her and I see miniature figures of us over her head. The others leave and I stay to supervise.

"why do I feel connected to you?" I whisper to myself. She has a teddy that looks like Elsa, one that looks like Anna and a snowman. She's curled up in a ball. Her soft brown hair is against her back. She didn't take off her glasses so I did. As I did so her eyes shot open.

"who are you? And why are you here?" She shot loads of questions at me.

"I am Jack Frost, wait you can see me," I start. She nods and I carry on. "I was sent here by the moon." I say. I secretly call the guardians. They burst in and she gasps. She shouts for her brother who comes running in.

"what's going on?" shouts Josh. I step away from Maddi and she runs to Josh.

"Josh, I'm scared." She said again. She was hugging her. She looked about eight years old. She had hold of her 3 teddies.

"hey hey don't be. They won't get near you because I'm here." says Josh.

"but how can you be sure?" She asks.

"becausw I'm your brother. Would I lie to you?" he says.

"yes! You would." says Maddi.

"well I wouldn't when it comes down to protecting you." he say. She stands behind him while crying.

"Josh, make them go away!" She cries. I stand back and nod to sandy. He throws sand and them both. They fall asleep. I pick up the girl while the others tie up the boy so that when he wakes he can't escape. We go to the pole.
