chapter 26- new location old friends

ELSA POV

They took the fake us. They are so gullible. Me and Josh come out of hiding.

"it's a good thing we took the hint with all the banging." I say.

"yeah it is." says Uncle. We looked at my room. The signs of the struggle were soon gone. Now this is going to be fun. Uncle makes the fake ones disappear.

MANNY POV

We were tricked! They were fakes. God, that Josh is protective. I pace around my room while thinking. How did they do it? They must have magic. Maddi and Josh have always been in hidden homes and none of them have been to school. I must find out more.

DARKNIGHT POV

We are moving to another place. Scarborough. The seaside town. We will be living in Raincliffe woods. We teleport there with our stuff and go inside our hidden house. I put her stuff in her room as she explores the house. I hear giggling from outside. She's running around the garden. I wish she really was my sister and we weren't being hunted by the guardians. I feel my real self changing back to good. I don't stop it because I have wanted that for a while. I finish unpacking her things and start mine. I soon finish so I go outside.

"Josh!" shouts Elsa.

"hey Maddi." I greet.

"what are we gonna do?" She asks.

"let's go for a walk into town." I say and we walk out of the woods and right past a school. The same type of school that I should be in. People my age are coming out then I see her. I look at her and she gasps. She turns away and walks right past me.

"Who's that Josh?" Asks Maddi.

"an old friend. I hurt her a while back." I say.

"go talk to her." says Maddi. We run to her and I tap her shoulder. She turns around and frowns. She looks at her phone and I see an old photo of us together in Turkey.

"look, Jade, I'm sorry ok. I was busy that day my phone died and I've been having to look after my little sister since my parents disappeared." I say she looks at me emotionlessly.

"I don't care anymore. My life is barely worth living anyway." She says and carries on walking.

"Jade, please, forgive me!" I shout.

"why should I when you basically told me to go and die!" She shouts. I see the guardians behind her.

"I didn't do that!" I shouted back while walking towards her.

"you did by not objecting to me dying. Goodbye old friend." She says and leaves. She bumps into the guardians and falls down. Jade gasps in shock.

"Jade..." I whisper. A tear falls down my cheek.

"Come on let's go into town." says Maddi while cuddling me. We walked into town and bought food. It's her birthday in a few days so I'm inviting some old friends. I bought the invites, party bags and game supplies. Then, we bought the food for the barbecue. Finally, we went home. Maddi went to play outside while I did the invites. I invited:

I finished the invites and sent them to all their homes. I went outside to Maddi and sat on a chair. She was chasing butterflies. Even though she was really an adult she was a great child. I closed my eyes and sighed. It's so peaceful in the middle of the woods.

"Josh." I hear Maddi say. I open my eyes and look at her.

"what's up Maddi?" I asked.

"I'm hungry." She says. I look at the sun that is almost set. It's been hours since we ate.

"ok. I'll make you some cheesy chips." I offer.

"yay! I love cheesy chips! Can we have chocolate ice-cream for desert?" She says.

"it's a bit late for desert so tomorrow. Besides we need all the food we can get for your birthday." I say. She pouts then smiles.

"okay." She says and we go inside. I lock up the doors and make the cheesy chips. Elsa soon falls asleep. I put her into bed.

"night my little niece." I whisper

"good night uncle." She whispers back. I leave the room and go into my room. I get changed and go to sleep. I am planning her party tomorrow so it'll be very busy.
