JADE POV
I am looking at my friends in shock.
"you locked them up!" I shouted at them and they jumped. Tooth nodded slowly. I look at them and a tear falls down my cheek.
"you're meant to be the guardians of childhood. You have just locked up two children for no reason.
"you are no guardians. I don't see brave adults, I see cowards. Cowards who lock children up. I thought you were the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Sandman not people who are as bad as Pitch Black!" I shout. Tooth looks at me sadly.
"I did try to stop them Jade but as usual the boys don't listen." says Tooth. I look at her with sympathy.
"I'm sorry for shouting at you Tooth. But now it is aimed at the boys. You can leave if you want Tooth," Tooth leaves and I look at them all and frown. "how are you all guardians? Why? Don't you care about those children? What did they do you you?
"is it because Josh hurt my feelings or because you are scared? Is it because you thought they were dangerous as they never talk to anyone? Is it because they have always lived in the woods? Or is it just because they are different so you don't want to trust them?" I shoot loads of questions at them and they all lower their heads.
"we don't know Jade." admits Bunny.
"well let them go." I say.
"why should we?" Asks Manny. I look at him in disbelief.
"they don't deserve this!" I shout at him. I don't care if he is a king or not. He hurt me as well. He didn't send me a sign that he was real so I stopped believing in him and believed in something else.
"fine, let them go." says Manny in defeat after a long silence. Bunny let's them go and brings them to me. Josh looks at me awkwardly and I start to feel my old feelings rising back up.
"I guess I should thank you for helping me now. But first I have a question.... Do you forgive me?" Says Josh. I think for a moment. If you love him forgive him. If you hate him don't. Simple. But, do I love him or hate him?
"yes I do stupid." I say to him. He smiles and hugs me. It felt awkward.
"let's go. I have a birthday party tomorrow!" shouts Maddi.
"okay Maddi. Let's go then!" says Josh. We grab hands and I smash a snowglobe and whisper,
"Josh's house." we appear in their garden. Maddi runs off and I look at Josh.
"are you coming tomorrow?" Asks Josh. I look at him and nod.
"if you ever need help just call me and I'll come running." I say and hand him a slip of paper. By time he's opened it I'm gone.
