extra no. one: akane's journal

well, in this extra, i'm gonna tell you the story all about nagisa's journal

note: this was before chapter one happened, obviously. nagisa and karma doesn't know each other here. oh and also, the age here is ten years old.

nagisa is bored and he hated it.

he hated just sitting still in one place. he hated doing nothing. he hated being bored. god, he hated everything about being bored, it was just so irritating. how could someone be able to be still for seconds, for minutes, for hours, and even months. nagisa hated being still and there's nothing we can do about it.

he went outside the house, the summer breeze hitting him ever so slightly in the face. he thought of where to go, and finally he settled it- the bookstore.

he walked through the sea of people, trying hard to not let him be noticed. suddenly, he saw a blue journal lying on the ground. he didn't want to do it, but his interest got the best of him.

he picked it up.

the bluenette carried the journal as his destination differed- the library.

he was certain of the unsettling feeling the notebook gave him, he didn't care. he wanted to read the notebook so he wouldn't be bored.

he opened the notebook and what welcomed him was a picture of a blonde girl, who looked like a foreigner, and a brown-haired boy, who had mercury eyes. both looking ten years of age.

they look so happy.

nagisa read the journal, until an entry caught his eye.

3/25/10

it's been a while since i wrote in this notebook, i kinda missed it. although, my mom said it's a good thing since i stopped being locked up in my room. oh, also i got myself a new friend :). his name is karma akabane. when he told me his name, i laughed very hard because in english, karma means something bad will happen. he also told me that he wanted to dye his hair red when he turns thirteen. funny, right? it's such a shame i wouldn't be there to see it. i'll just stay locked up in my room here in america like always. oops, i think i need to stop writing know! mom told me to come for dinner, and if i didn't dad will hurt her again. goodbye! :) -akane

nagisa flipped through the pages and saw that was the last entry.

well, i'll just make use of this notebook.
