Startled Julian takes a few steps back and away from me, almost in unison we both turn our heads and glance over to the kitchen, me doing my best not to hurt myself.

"How's it going?" Albert emerges, slight smile on his face.

"Albert...I can explai-"

"Explain what? There's nothing to explain," Albert quickly interrupts Julian.

Julians face turns pale, the dark circles around his eyes becoming more prominent, "I know this is your lady. I'm a fucking asshole, I'm so-"

"What the fuck are you talking about Jules? Liz and I aren't a thing."

"She isn't?" Julian asks and then turns to me, "you aren't?"

"Oh Christ no," I respond making a face of disgust towards Albert who is looking directly at me making a face of his own.

"We just fuck around, releasing some tension," he winks my way, "you know, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure she said your name last night. I suggested a threesome several times; like we used to do in the old days with the chicks from the bar but she didn't want to."

"Albert!" I fling the bag of ice at him. He wasn't lying, I had muttered Julian's name and even I didn't know why. I wasn't thinking of him, he hadn't even crossed my mind.

The motion I made to fling the bag made me stretch further than my body was capable of at the moment causing me to flinch in pain.

"So what happened here?" Albert asks coolie as if he hadn't just thrown me under the bus.

"I passed out," I mutter flatly, glancing over to Julian whos eyes are locked on me, a sly smirk on his face.

"You okay though?"

"I think so. Just sore."

Albert nods, "Good thing Jules was here to help,"he winks again.

I simply roll my eyes at him, "So, I got a job now."

"Oh hell yeah!" Albert high fives me.

"Congrats man, I told you there was nothing to worry about," Julian smiles from behind Albert.

"I was just coming to pick up my keys so I can head back to the hotel, I start this Monday."

"Just pick up some clothes and come back," Albert responds.

"Too much back and forth, besides, with my bruised side the last thing I want to do is make unnecessary movements that will cause me more pain."

"Why don't you just move in?" Julian, who at this point has been standing silently in the background, mutters.

Albert turns around quickly to look at him then spins right back, "Yeah!" he agrees.

"What? No way! I can't afford rent right now, I can barely afford the hotel that I'm paying for and not staying in."

"Exactly. You're paying for a place you hardly live in, just stay here, we don't mind," Julian steps forward.
