"Simon if you don't stop fidgeting I'm going to punch you." The young Lewis tells her brother.

"I'm sorry I'm nervous for Clary. Aren't you?" Simon asks, earning an eye roll from his sister.

"Not really. I know she's getting in. You have seen her artwork right?" Charlotte goes back to her reading her book.

Simon continued fidgeting as his sister snaps. "Oh my god Simon!"

Hearing someone walk up to the siblings, Charlotte looks up to see Clary walk in with a sad look on her face. Of course, Charlotte was not stupid and knew it was bullshit and her best friend got in. Her brother on the other hand.

"Give me the professor's names and I I will end them." Charlotte shakes her head and looks up at nothing, wondering how the two were related. "You know with a scathing letter to the dean."

"Don't bother." Clary says as she puts down a letter and sits.

Simon grabs the letter as the Lewis siblings look at it, observing the big red letters. CONGRATULATIONS.

"I knew it!" Charlotte yells feeling proud. "I knew you were bullshiting us. I called it." She announces earning a few stares from other people and a laugh from her friend.

"Okay fine you got me."

"Well I didn't know you were, so well played." Simon says.

"You know it's weird. They kind of liked my assigned work, but they flipped out over the designs for our graphic novel." Clary tells them.

"You're welcome." Charlotte says with a smirk.

"Today will go down as the greatest 18th birthday I have ever had."

"That's why we're celebrating tonight."

"Yep. At Lombardi's." Charlotte says with a smile as she takes a sip of her coffee. Simon gives Clary a look that said don't tell her. You see, Charlotte hates clubs. She hates the smell, the heat, the dancing and everything about it. Simon knew his sister would never come with them if he told her they were going to Pandemonium and not Lombardi's.

Clary chuckles at the siblings antics.

"With Maureen after our show." Clary and Charlotte smirk at each other before looking at simon.

"So what's the deal with you and Maureen?" Charlotte asks, she knew of the oblivious love triangle, but she wanted to mess with the dinamic, she found it amusing.

"What deal? There's no deal. We sing together." Simon stutters.
--
"Charlie can you please get out of the van? I swear we will have fun." Her brother tries to convince her to come out.

"No. You know I hate clubs, people, crowds. And you lied."

"Please it won't be the same without you."

"Sucks for you then." The Lewis girl adjusted her glasses and took a book out of her bag. She could hear her brother and friends groans. She could hear people laughing and things breaking. It almost made her want to vomit.

"You did not bring a book to a club." Clary says.

"Well I didn't know we were going to a club. So yeah I brought one. I'm still not going in."

"Please for me! It's my birthday, it could be your present." Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"You already got my present yesterday. It's either the sketchbooks and materials or me going in the club. Your choice, Fray."

As if on cue Simon and Clary say in sync, "You going in the club."

Charlotte sat in the van, silent as she looked at the pleading expressions on their faces. She knew they weren't giving up anytime soon.

"FINE." She got out of the van and slammed the door shut.

Clary stopped her friend from walking further. "But first we need to fix up Simon's van." Charlotte glared.

"I'm going back in the van." She got cut off by Simon and was forbid to go in.

"Come on Charlie. Stay out of the van, socialize." Charlotte looked around the alley way.

"Yes let me socialize with the drunken vomitters. Or the rats." She glanced back and saw a girl puke in the corner of the buildings. "I think I'll take my chances with the rats."

"Have fun?" Simon replies but it comes out as doubtful.

Charlotte went and sat in the back of the van taking out her book ignoring the groans coming from her brother and friends. She always enjoyed the books she read, it made her believe there was more to life than this. A world where there was magic, a world full of enchantment and wonder. But unfortunately for her, unlike the characters in her books, her life was mundane. There was no magic in their world. Nothing would change that.

Simon hitting her shoulder then interrupted her reading. "Charlotte you can't miss this. Clary is talking to air." Charlotte looked up and no doubt, Clary was having a full on conversation with no one. Now Charlotte wasn't one to judge but this was crossing a line.

"Should we, you know interrupt them?" She wonders in confusion. She had no clue what to do, it wasn't like there was a book 'What To Do when your best friend talks to no one'

Charlotte, Maureen and Simon continued to stare at the red head converse with no one until finally she turned away and stalked over to them.

"Can you believe that guy?" Clary asked the three wide eyed people.

"Yeah no what a jerk." Charlotte summed up but then cut herself off, "An invisible jerk, Clary did you take something?"

"What are you talking about? He was right there."Clary couldn't believe the fact they didn't see the mysterious man. She had to know what he was doing, where he was going and why her friends couldn't see him.
---
"Clary wait up, Simon ditched me for drinks." Charlotte pleads to her friend who was busy making a run for it, trying to follow someone in the club. People would block her view every minute and she tried to keep her eyes trained on Clary's bright colored hair, though in one second she was gone and Charlotte was circling the club looking for her friend or brother. Anyone would please her. She just didn't want to get trampled in the crowded place. But much to her displeasure that's exactly what happened. A random person knocks into her, and her bag goes flying across the floor. Curses went out of the girls mouth as she chased after it. She cursed herself for keeping her bag open all the time when her mom nags her to close it. She picked up pens and pencils and came upon a styled shoe stepping on one of her favorite pencils. Charlotte ripped it from under the foot and stood to see the just as styled man.

"Uh hey dude, that's my bag." She noticed her belongings in the man's hands. Her book also caught her eye. "And my book! Can I get that back?" She tries to reach for it when the man pulls back, a small smirk on his face, a devious flirtatious glint in his eyes.

"I've never seen someone bring a book to a club." The man says. Charlotte managed not to roll her eyes, but instead backed up to get an eyeful of the man. Covered in glitter, he stood tall and prideful it almost made Charlotte want to give up. Almost. She didn't give up easily and this guy was about to learn.

"Yeah and I never seen an arrogant creep take my stuff I guess it's both our lucky days. Bag, book, now." The man let out a slight laugh at the small girl's anger.

"I've also never had someone insult me and get away with it." Of course Charlotte would get into an argument with someone. She knew clubs were no good. What else could go wrong tonight? She wondered to herself.
