I don't have time to check if he's done what I said.
I jump and slash at the thing's face, causing it to bring its head closer to the ground, to look at me. Taking the opportunity, I slash with my left hand and the movement startles it, while it is caught off guard, I use my right arm to cut at its eyes. I only hit one, because it jerks its head up and howls in pain, green liquid is dribbling to the gound.
Careful not to let the green slime touch me, I back up until I am in line with Kyren, who is standing, still as a statue, staring in wide eyed terror at the creature.
I shift the dagger in my right hand and grip them both in my left. Clenching my fist, I punch Kyren's shoulder. This snaps him out of his trance. He turns to glare at me, bugt I call out a warning "Kyren, look out!" He looks back at the creature, just in time to dodge the water shooting from its mouth.
Both heads have turned to us. Uriah and Krissa appear, facing us. I sigh with relief and tell them "Turn around!"
There is another clanging noise, and Krissa kneels to pick up the short sword that has appeared at her feet.
KRISSA'S P.O.V.
What on Earth is happening? I wonder, not sure if I'm scared or not. The sword that I picked up feels comfortable in my hand, more comfortable than the knives Mom used to make us practice with. Maybe she knew that this was going to happen. Is that why she made us study swordplay? Maybe she planned this...
KYREN'S P.O.V.
Kyanna and Uriah know what's happening. Krissa seems as lost as I am.
Maybe this is a dream? If it is, I can't get hurt...
KYANNA'S P.OV.
Kyren launches himself into the air at one of the creature's heads. He brings his sword down, hard, impaling it in the thing's nose.
The blade is crusted with green slime. He seems to let go as he tumbles to the ground.
His sword is still stuck in one of the creature's noses.
I launch myself at the creature and throw one of my daggers, hitting it squarely in the eye, it howls in pain and I use my free hand to grab Kyren's sword and pull it downward with me as I land beside him. "Here." I say, returning his sword.
Green slime, which I now believe is the creature's blood, drips onto Kyren's left shoulder. There is a sizzling sound and Kyren cries out in pain.
Blood is running down his arm from where it hit him. Without thinking, I use my free hand to wipe the creature's blood from his arm. My eyes widen as I realize what I just did. Strangely though, there is no pain. I crouch and wipe the creature's blood from my hand.
When I stand back up I notice where he is bleeding from.
I cock my head and listen to the song of the wolf spirits. Closing my eyes, I begin to sing.

WerewolfI smell blood. His blood. I pull away and look at him. My eyes stop at a blood patch on his arm. "No! Tell me no!" he drops his gaze. "I'm sorry." I whisper. "It's too dangerous. You should stay away from me!" he brushes my hair gently from my face...
