Love and Letters

Katelyn's POV

I walk outside and go to the mailbox and open it. There is a red envelope inside and it is sealed with a heart stamp. I open it out of curiosity, but regret it right when I see Travis's name signed at the bottom. I sigh and toss the letter behind me.
"Hey, that took a long time to write!" A voice complains from behind me and I feel hands grab onto my waist. Out of habit, I prepare to punch him in the face, but I suddenly stop myself from punching him. I just take his hands off my hips and turn to face him. As I suspected, it is Travis.
"Don't grab my hips, pervert," I growl at him.
"S-sorry..." He looks down and I am surprised. Normally, he would come up with something stupid and witty to say back, but he didn't. I raise an eyebrow,
"You wrote me a letter?"
His face brightens, "Yes." I reach down and pick it up, but he reaches for it too and our hands touch. I get nervous when he doesn't move his hand, so I slap his hand and pick up the letter.
"Will I want to slap you after I read this?" I ask him.
"Hmm, I don't know, maybe I should run just in case..." He runs to his house and slams the door so I know he isn't peeking out the door. I roll my eyes and read the letter. It says:

I may look behind you a lot,
But what I really like seeing is your beautiful face.
Your diamonds for eyes always make me go speechless,
And your perfect smile makes me blush.
I just want you to really understand,
How I feel about you, Katelyn.

I almost drop the letter out of suprise. That doesn't sound like Travis at all! Did Laurence write this for Travis? I feel my ears grow hot and I know I am blushing from the flattering letter. No. I can't fall for Travis! He's a casanova and a pervert in one! I don't want that! Travis hasn't come back out yet and I don't think he will... Good, now I don't have to confront him. I start heading back inside when I see Lucinda on the sidewalk. She has her normal smug smile on and she casually walks over to... The guy's house?! I growl and watch her knock on the door...
