Hype for Halloween

Travis's POV

"LAURENCE!" I yell at the bathroom door and bang on it, "YOU'RE TAKING LONGER THAN I NORMALLY DO! AND THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING!" As I bang on the door, it suddenly swings back and I bang on air. Laurence is standing in the doorway, his chest bare and an off-white towel around his waist. His pushes his wet hair back with his pruned hands.
"Get a taste of your own medicine!" He teases. I sigh and hate to agree.
"Did you do it just to taunt me?" I ask him, rolling my eyes.
"Actually, no. I just haven't taken a good long shower in a while."
"That was a long shower?"
"Ummm, yes? What would be a long shower in your standards?" I smirk before answering,
"Forty-five minutes."
"And this is why we have a huge water bill," Laurence groans and I just laugh wickedly, walking into the bathroom. Laurence walks up to the left sink and begins styling his hair, delicately moving his bangs in place. I look at my reflection in the right sink, forgetting the purpose of needing to use the bathroom... Out of habit, I lick my fingers and smear my eyebrows to smooth them out.
"So why were you being so awkward when Kawaii~Chan came over and stuff? And since when were we having a movie night?" I ask. Laurence picks up the shaving cream off of the ledge on the sink and sprays some in his hands.
"Because," he begins, "you heard Kawaii~Chan. She's terrified of horror movies. I'm sure the rest of the girls are too." Laurence starts lightly putting the cream on his cheeks and then on his chin.
"That's kind of a jerk move, don't you think?" I mention, beginning to feel my rough cheeks. I need to shave too...
"No, it's brilliant!" Laurence smiles, "it's the perfect way for us to get closer to the girls!" He picks up the razor and starts pushing the cream off into the sink with it. "And so we won't be such big wusses when Halloween comes and we're going to that haunted house I wanted to go to." I think about the first thing Laurence said. If he's correct, Katelyn will cling to me when the jump scares happen during the movie... and I'll hold onto her... kiss her on the head... tell her it's fake...
"Okay, fine. I see where you're coming from," I say, "but what about you? You're inviting Aaron."
"I know. I'm mainly doing this for you and Garroth and Dante."
"Well... that's very nice of you Laurence..." I look at him and he looks back at me through the mirror, continuing to shave his cheeks. "So now that I know your intentions, what are we going to do about Dante being highly afraid of horror movies and Nicole being perfectly fine with them?"
"Don't worry, I've thought everything through. It'll still be an opportunity for Dante and Nicole to get closer. And I'll be inviting everyone, so no one won't have a buddy."
"Even Zane?"
"Even Zane..." Laurence sighs, "It'll be a fun way to get hyped for the season."
"YEAH!" I yell, "HYPE, HYPE, HYPE, HYPE!!! HORROR MOVIES DON'T SCARE ME!!!"

I am such a liar.
