Happy New Year, everyone! What better way to kick off the new year with a new Naruto fanfic? Now, before I began with the usual stuff, I have a little survey for all of my Naruto fanfics. I've been wanting to do this for quite a while now.

Since so many of you are asking me to update a particular fanfic, I have created a Google Form where you will be able to vote for your favorite Naruto fanfiction to be updated. If you want your favorite Naruto fanfiction to be updated, be sure to spread the word and get your friends to vote. Here's the link to the form:

Now, time for the usual. Be sure not to set the fanfic on fire, I don't want to get the fire extinguisher out again. Vote, enjoy, and-most importantly-COMMENT! I love to hear what you think, but don't comment random things that doesn't relate to the fanfic, please. Now, please enjoy my twentieth Naruto fanfiction: The Golden Deity!

The sky lit up with the dying light of the sun. The sun lowered from the sky, and a terrified scream pierced the air. In an alleyway, dark as the sky, a small boy of only six backed away from his tormentors. "P-please, stay away from me...I-I didn't do anything," the boy whimpered. "You killed my family, you little shit. How are you going to pay for it?" a man said, his breath full of stench of alcohol. The small boy whimpered, "I didn't kill anyone...p-please, leave me alone," he pleaded.

The man snorted, "You think I would buy your act, you demon? Because of you, my family is dead!" he yelled. "I-I'm sorry," the boy whimpered. "You're sorry!? You're sorry!? Ha! That's rich! Demons can't be sorry!" the man yelled as he took a step forward. The boy backed up even closer up to the wall.

He whimpered, and waited for the beating...but it never came. Slowly, the boy opened his eyes, to see his savior. The man wore standard shinobi gear and an ANBU weasel mask. "That is enough, sir. Now get back to your home before I have to use force," the man said calmly.

The drunk man snorted, and started to walk away. The boy brightened, "Mr. Weasel!" he cheered. The shinobi turned around, and knelt down. "Naruto, you know you're not suppose to go out alone," he scowled the boy lightly.

The little boy frowned, "I know, but I had to go get something," he said. Weasel sighed a little, "What was so important that you had to go had to go out all by yourself?" he asked. Naruto shifted his hands, behind his back. "Well...umm..." he murmured. "Naruto, don't lie to me," Weasel said sternly.

Naruto sighed, and brought out the package from behind his back. "Happy birthday, Mr. Weasel," he said as he held the small package up to the man. Weasel stayed silent for a few second, before he started to chuckle. "I appreciate the gesture, Naruto, but I just can't accept your gift," he said.

The six year old frowned, and started to tear up. "B-but, Mr. Weasel," he whimpered like a kicked puppy. Weasel sighed, "Okay, Naruto, I accept your gift," he said as he took the box from the blonde haired boy.

A huge smile spread onto Naruto's face. "Yay! Open it, open it!" he cheered. Weasel chuckled, "Alright, alright," he said as he opened the little box. Inside the box, Weasel discovered a red gemstone necklace. "Naruto, where did you get this?" the ANBU asked as he looked down on the boy. Naruto grinned, "I helped Grandpa with his paperwork," he said.

Weasel sighed, "You two, I swear. Well, thank you for the gift, Naruto. You've always been such a good boy," he said as he ruffled the boy's hair. Naruto laughed, "Stop that, Mr. Weasel," he complained. Weasel chuckled as he stopped ruffling the boy's head. "Why don't you help me with this necklace?" he suggested.

Naruto brightened and nodded. "Okay!" he said as he took the necklace from the ANBU, and Weasel leaned forward. The six year old reached his small little arms up, and tied the necklace onto the ANBU's neck. "There! That looks awesome," he said with a bright smile. Weasel smiled underneath his mask, and picked the boy up. "Okay, Naruto, let's get you home," he said. "Yep!" Naruto chirped as the ANBU walked him out of the alleyway.
