"Wait!," Evan called but she couldn't stop now.

The more he asked her to stay, the more her speed increased. She was halfway through the backyard when her legs caught up in each other and she went flying towards the ground. She could feel her knees burning and scratches formed on her hands where she defeatedly held the ground hard.

Her eyes swam with moisture and a tear leaked staining her once red puffy cheek that now was cadaverous.
She could hear Evan coming her way and she quickly scrambled up to her feet but before she could walk away his warm hand held her tight. His hand gripping her tightly just above the elbow that was scratched now. She winced in pain as his grip tightened further.

Her eyes burned as she closed them. For a milli second she told herself that it all was a dream. A night mare, but his cold voice snapped her out of the thoughts. Her eyes opened and she found herself staring at a furious Evan standing in front dressed in black shirt and faded jeans.

"Stella Jacobsen." He spat and stared at her. If it was even possible the hatred in his eyes now doubled and a traitor tear rolled over her cheeks.

"Damn," he muttered and swore under his breath. His eyes moved all over the place but it never focused on her.

He was furious. Furious with himself than her. Here he was like a fool chasing a girl that he once thought he liked but now knowing her identity he couldn't stop himself from hating his feelings. He at no cost liked her now cause he was quiet sure that he hated her.

His feelings for Stella Jacobsen could never change.

Once an enemy- always an enemy.

" listen Stella, I don't know why you did what you did. But I'm sure that now that we both have at last disclosed our identities, we want nothing with each other."

Her heart broke. Her heart broke with every word he spoke. His eyes were empty as he stared at her and not even the tears in her eyes or the trembling of her legs could make him stop. She wished, she wished he cared a tad bit more about her.

Nodding, Stella pulled her hand out of his grip and rubbed it where he held it. Her skin was burning there. It was his words next that made her heart sink to her stomach and she felt the hard cold ground crumbling underneath her feet.

" nothing has changed, I still hate you Stella and you better hate me as well."

This simple sentence made her froze and she looked straight at him. In his brown eyes that were troubled. He meant what he said and yet there Stella was hoping that he would want to be her friend after their texting. But she was wrong.

Once again life had proved to her how cruel and heartless it was.

He wanted her to continue hating her when in real she was head over heels for him?, every single word he spoke was like a demented joke of fate on her. Laughing dryly she quickly cleaned the edges of her eyes and started walking towards the exit.

Evan stared at her back. The red dress perfectly fitting her and the blonde hair now falling off the fishtail braid. Her heels clicked with each step and Evan felt his heart beat escalate with every step that increased the distance between them. Cursing under his breath, Evan masked the trouble on his face with a cold mask that concealed all his feeling.

Without turning around Stella said, "I hate you-", her voice broke in the end and after inhaling deeply she continued,"good bye, Evan."

Although she had said that she hated him, she felt like a traitor. No matter how many times she said that she hated Evan, the reality was opposite. She loved him against her will. She wanted to hate him and that was the reason because of which she said she hated him. She didn't want him to believe it, She wanted herself to believe it.

"Goodbye, Stella." Evan whispered and stared at her disappearing back.

Soon her figure disappeared and so did the clicking of her heals. Standing in between the backyard with leaves falling over him and the vicious moon glaring at him Evan sat on the same bench she was seated when he arrived. Surrounded by silence Evan stared at the night sky thinking the way things turned out to be.

But he was glad that now it was all ended.
